Yeah, that sounds exactly like Gibbs -- he's so often all business and not in the mood to coddle anyone. Gibbs does soften a little around Abby (okay, he's positively mushy around Abbs, in a Gibbs-ian way) and sometimes Ducky, but that psychological armor he has up almost all of the rest of the time makes it all the more satisfying when he cracks a smile or tells Probie, DiNozzo or Ziva they've done good work.

I finally treated myself to all of the DVD box sets, and am working through them slowly -- I could so easily gorge myself on episodes, but then they'd run out and what would I have to look forward to? Can't recall if I've seen "Untouchable" yet, I'm halfway through Season Three.
