Just saw Pirates of the Caribbean a second time- with boyfriend this time. Definitely as good a movie the second time around, even knowing the plot twists and all. And this time I stayed through the credits to see that bit at the very end with the monkey *G* Maybe not worth sticking around for the first time, but it was nice to see something new the second time around. Gotta love the monkey.

And got some details straight as far as my fic goes- which is lovely. I feel much better about it now. I still don't know the names of the crew on the Interceptor apart from Gibbs, Cotton and Anamaria but that's because they weren't ever mentioned by name in the film... so that's annoying. Grrr!

This time, the previews were completely different for me as well, which was great! Viggo's new movie was one of the trailers- ooohhhh! He looks ADORABLE... though I don't think I fancy the accent (American accents aren't really that yummy to me, maybe because I'm an American) but ooohhh dirty, noble down-trodden Viggo- yeah, I'll buy!
And the new 'Haunted Mansion' movie looks WONDERFUL! That's actually my all-time favorite ride at Disney Land, so I was worried about what they'd do for the movie. But it looks so great! And really compliments the ride well, keeping in all the important aspects while still maintaining an interesting plot. Good work Disney! (Yeah, they need the compliments after that Country Bears movie *sigh*)

Looking forward to working more on my Pirates fic now *G* Mmmmm wet Will... doesn't get much better than that...

I think it's because of the humor, mostly (especially that which can be attributed to Depp) but I feel like I could watch it a hundred times and not be bored. It's just got so many little details that are fun, you know? And when the secret about the pirates is revealed to ELizabeth (that they're all ghosts) and that dark, thumping theme music starts I got chills just the same as I did the first time. That marks a good movie to me :-) Certainly something I will be buying on DVD.

Hope the fic is good... it's unbelievable how much research I'm doing for it, considering its size. Everything from scematics of the Lady Washington (the Interceptor) to pirate history and phrase guides so everything sounds authentic *G* Yeah, yeah, I'm a freak, but hopefully it makes for a good story :-)

December 17th for ROTK, isn't it? Not really that long away *G*

Heehee! I have a nice illegal copy on my comp of TTT I use when making fanvids. But I plan to buy the nice 4-disk extended baby when it comes out. Really looking forward to that. I get so much use out of my FotR DVDs!

Oh, I ADORE the Haunted Mansion ride... it's my favorite ride at Disney Land/World- though I've been on it 3 times.

I am REALLY impressed at how well they modelled the Pirates movie after the ride. All the little details like the whores in town and the dog with the keys in the jail that are in the ride translated so well into the movie as wonderful details (I loved Jack getting slapped around a little, too-a little bit of a morality check on his part, lol)

I really hope the Haunted Mansion movie is just as good- I was delighted to see the ballroom dancing scene as that's my favorite part of the Disney Land ride- a huge ballroom filled with extravagent dancing ghosts- it's a fantastic sight to look down on... oohhh very excited about the visuals in that movie! And you're right- Eddie Murphy is great- so I'm sure it will be humorous as well as visually stimulating :-)

I've had a DVD copy of TTT since my birthday back in March, so I've never really been without TTT this year. I'm definitely buying both the theatrical and extended editions of TTT. I kinda feel a teeny bit bad about having an illegal copy, and I really want the sneak preview of ROTK, so that's why I'm buying the 2-disc, and the 4-disc in November is just a given. I can't wait for them to add back in the conclusion of Helm's Deep and Legolas and Gimli's contest.

Sidenote: I saw POTC again last night. I loved it even more this time though. Orlando Bloom is the most beautiful boy I've ever seen, and Johnny Depp is just an acting genius. I'm so hooked on this fandom now!
