RIP Cassie

I had to put Cassie to sleep this afternoon. In a lot of ways, it was an easy decision to make. She was losing blood faster than the doctors could get it into her. And I'm so glad it happened when I was there as opposed to another cardiac arrest in the middle of the night. That meant I got to hold her on my lap and pet her and tell her how much I loved her. I'm grateful for that. But it was also extremely difficult because she was only 3-4 years old and I hadn't even had a full year with her yet. She was the sweetest cat ever and deserved much more time in the world. I'm really going to miss my baby girl angel princess Cassie tiny cat so much.






And thank you to everyone for your messages and support here in replies and email. That means a lot to me. *hugs*

Putting our beloved pets to sleep is never an easy decision but most times it is the right one. Now she's free of pain and suffering, resting in peace over The Rainbow Bridge.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so very unfair when our pets pass away at such a young age. And to lose her when you haven't even had her for a year...I can't imagine how heartbreaking that is.

At least you did everything you could for her, and gave her all the love you could.
