tarotgalI keep seeing conflicting weather reports. Either we're getting no snow or we're getting 4 inches of accumulation. Ugh. Which means the party I've been prepping for for over a week might be cancelled or moved to a day I can't attend.
I ended up taking a few hours off work today because I was fairly certain I wasn't going to get everything done. And then the write-in I had planned on was cancelled. So I ended up with more time anyway and needn't have taken leave. Oh well. I'm going to have to take more leave next week in order to get to DC for my concert and get to the cats to catsit in the opposite direction. Next week is going to be absolutely awful for me; I can already tell. I'm just hoping I'm not too miserable to enjoy Star Wars and the Yule Ball and Star Wars a second time.
I woke up at 6 today so I could get to Walmart before work to pick up last minute supplies for the tree topper (I learned last night it is supposed to be wearing a tutu) and to buy presents for my friend's children. I found the PERFECT toy for her one-year-old. So perfect I am guessing he already has it. And I don't know if her eleven-year-old likes Minecraft still or has any interest in Minecraft LEGO. So I bought them, wrapped them, and packaged them. I hope they survive well enough to be returned because I included gift receipts just in case.
I REALLY planned on writing tonight, but after I finished all the things I needed to do and ate dinner at 9pm, I just wasn't feeling up to doing anything else. Charlie was on my lap all sleepy and cozy and I was cold and I just didn't want to write. Which isn't like me at all. I think I'm hitting my wall of motivation here. The list has been doing a great job of keeping me working very hard on only 5 hours of sleep a night. But at some point, I'm gonna crash. Just as long as it isn't before the 17th, I'll be fine.
Anyway, today I got a lot done!

Number of Holiday Movies Watched So Far: 10 (adding A Muppet's Christmas Carol and Love Actually)
Off to handle my laundry, take trash out, and give the cat her meds.
