As he lowers the soaked tissues, chucking them towards the bin, Sam tries to catch his breath. He manages a few congested-sounding inhalations before Dean sees his eyes widen suddenly. “Oh, ndo…” Sam gasps. “Dot a-- agaid--hh-hh---HH’AESHCHHHH! EHHSHHHH!” The sneezes explode out of him, and he rocks forward with each one, eyes squeezed shut. “HHUH’CHSHHH! hh’GNSHHHH! hh’HEHKSXSHHH!”

Decongestants momentarily forgotten, Dean hurries back over to his brother’s side, pressing a warm hand reassuringly against Sam’s back. He can feel each desperate breath his brother sucks in before a new round of rapidfire sneezes that leaves him shaking under Dean’s touch. “hhh’KXTschhuh! hh’HHTschhh! ehh’hnNTxschHH! De-- Deand---HKSH’SHHHH! ahh’HAETSCHHH! huh… hhh...uhh’HEHHTSCHHUHH!”

The fit leaves him breathless, hunched in on himself, elbows against his knees as he tries to keep himself upright. Dean rips two tissues out of the box, crouching down and pressing them gently to his brother’s streaming nose. “Here you go, buddy,” he murmurs, pinching his fingers around Sam’s sore, irritated nose and wiping away the mess. “It’s okay, just breathe. I gotcha.”

Sam leans forward, resting his head against Dean’s shoulder and letting his brother continue his gentle ministrations. It takes six more tissues and one tired, exhausted blow from Sam before he starts to breathe somewhat normally again. “...thagkyou…” he whispers.

“Anytime,” Dean answers softly, rubbing circles against Sam’s t-shirt clad back. “I just wish you felt better.”
