Updates...
Aug. 9th, 2003 12:11 amI didn't figure Monk out tonight. Ug. Didn't come close. I figured a few things out... but got it totally wrong. LOL! Ah well. So much for a winning streak.
I'm heading off tomorrow morning for the weekend *groan* to accompany my boyfriend home. He's got a 10-year high school reunion. So I'm the girlfriend in tow. And instead of being left alone to my books and research, I've got to spend the day with boyfriend's mother and sister because apparently they feel obligated to amuse me. So I'm not going to get ANY work done. Damnit. All I want to do is work when I'm in a place where I'm unable to. I'm going to be very stressed out the whole time. Let alone being "the girlfriend" in a room full of strangers. LOL No pressure.
My comfort is that we're going to listen to some more of HP5 in the car on the way up. Boyfriend refuses to read the books because he liked Jim Dale too much. LOL. ANd he says I'm the only reason he wants to finish it (cuz I keep bugging him). He's frustrated by the book and hates Umbridge. He's right at the point where Harry and George (or was it Fred?) get in the fight on the Quidditch field. So, basically, it's going to get worse before it gets better.
I watched Startgate SG-1 also tonight... LOL Nice light episode.
Have terrible(wonderful?) visions of a poor, soaking wet Daniel with a head cold after getting through that flooded planet. *G*
Whoa, I just sneezed twice myself. Maybe it's a sign? LOL!
I also watched my all-time FAVORITE episode of Highlander today *sigh* Memories, lots of angst, theories on how stress affects immies, wonderful Scottish Jacobite flashbacks, Dougray Scott (from Ever After and Mission Impossible 2), cute Methos humor, and lots of dark foreshadowing for master/teacher relations. *sigh* Fabulous episode. I adopted the flashbacks from this episode on one of those adopt X sites, that's how much I love it.
OK, I also wanted to ask about my Nevillefic... should I bother posting on one or both of the lists? Or should I just go the webpage route? I mean, how bored/interested would everyone be in it? I'm finishing it up now but I probably won't be able to post tonight- so it will be Sunday at the earliest. Sorry. I just wanted to know if I should bother posting or what-not. Thanks!
Have a good weekend all!

Date: 2003-08-09 06:03 am (UTC)So thanks for the invite :-) It's got Harry and Ron (and a few other characters like Hermione, Hagrid, Dean, Seamus, etc.) also sneezing. So even if people aren't Neville fans, there'll be something else of interest :-)

Date: 2003-08-09 06:34 am (UTC)You are SO right and SO not alone in your train of thought regarding soaking wet Daniel, tg! It's the first thing I thought of when I saw him in that dripping wet, very inadequate poncho. It's right up there with soaking wet pirates in storms, and drenched elves at Helm's Deep, in terms of inspiring many happy thoughts. It's so kind of the various producers to give us these lovely images to daydream about and spawn plot bunnies over...*G*
Have a great weekend, even if you don't get to spend it the way you'd like!

Date: 2003-08-09 06:48 am (UTC)Of course, I'd much prefer a sneeze- come ON, it's Daniel, it's not like he's never sneezed on the show before!- but it's nice to know I'm not the only one whose mind strays to these thoughts when the situations present themselves. A soaking wet, chilled Daniel is just too hard to resist *G*
And I'm glad you caught it tonight! Yay! Sometimes it's nice when they stray from the normal format a little... and it's nice to see glimpses of other parts and people at SGC. I find that kind of thing a lot of fun- seeing what actually goes into their organization makes it feel a lot more realistic. And of course, the humor is always appreciated. "Got tired of waiting" heehee!

Date: 2003-08-10 11:41 pm (UTC)Lots of people do music vids to Evanescence songs... I've been thinking of doing a whole bunch of vids to songs that have to do with immortality :-)
