tarotgalDidn't get much work done tonight... but am feeling slightly better about it. Still don't know how to tell advisor that today... UG... I'm SO behind it's not even funny.
I've been jumping up and down for the last however many hours- it's SO nice to open my browser window and have my website actually APPEAR there instead of getting that buildpage is down message. LOL
Boyfriend is getting better at amusing me on a fan level :-)
The other night he was humming "Hakuna Matata" from The Lion King(which he has never seen!), only putting in the phrase "Avada Kedavra" instead. Cracked me up. And fits very well, I must say!
I watched Highlander episode 'Chivalry' with boyfriend tonight. He enjoyed it, and agrees with me that Methos is a fantastic character. What can I say? Boyfriend's got great taste! Chivalry is the best episode for great Methos lines, IMHO. Other episodes like Indiscresions and Modern Prometheus come close, though.
And at the scene where Duncan reached over and paints Methos' nose playfully, Boyfriend exclaims "Oh, now they're going to have sex!" then turned to me and asked if I'd ever written Duncan/Methos slash and if others online did. Does the guy know me well or what?! He got FULL marks for that comment, let me tell you!
Of course, I'm not into Duncan/Methos. Though I will read it, and I love fanvids about it, I've never written one. I like to think of Methos as bisexual- after 5000 years I can't imagine him not wanting to experiment and liking boys as much as girls. But Duncan is very straight in my mind- perhaps because of all the women he bangs on the show. LOL! I've tried writing Methos/Kronos slash, though it all becomes PWPs where all they have is rough, controlling sex, as befits horsemen of the apocalypse *shrug*
Off to bed... have a meeting with advisor in 4 hours... must try to figure out how to tell him I'm not done with the interface yet... *nervously wrings hands*

Date: 2003-08-13 06:10 pm (UTC)Highlander ended in 1998, so it's only on in repeats now. It's being played on TNN(which is now called Spike TV) and the first movie (much more graphic than the series and guys aren't quite as cute) is on AMC a lot.
The Highlander spin-off(Highlander:The Raven) is on Sci-Fi sporadically.
But if you want to watch Highlander, I'd suggest waiting until they start back up with season 1... they're starting season 5 now(of 6)- it'll be hard to jump into the middle and follow some things as easily.

Just as a warning, if you ever do decide to rent and try watching it... season 1 is the worst season in the whole series. It's HORRIBLE. There was little budge for wardrobe so the cast wore their own clothes half the time... plots are mostly bad... and they were still sorting out a lot of details...
It gets MUCH better by the beginning of season 2 :-) heehee Unfortunately, you need season 1 concepts(at least, from the first, second, and last episode of the season) to fully understand the rest of the series.
