X-Men Evolution
Oct. 29th, 2003 05:23 pmI suppose I'll do a cut here as appropriate, but I just watched the possibly last episode of X-Men Evolution. As far as I've heard, they're thinking of not renewing it but the final decision hasn't been made yet. And they seem to have ended this episode as they would a series finale *sob*
Twas a very good "last episode" if this is indeed what it turns out to be. I have always been fascinated by this show in how well it gets the characterization of the original X-Men pretty well (with some huge exceptions of course) but still does completely different things with them. Lately it's seemed as though it's trying to merge all the universes into one, which is interesting to watch since they all started out so darn differently. And the ending was very interesting. Still Jean/Phoenix which always makes me shiver, and I literally had tears in my eyes when Rogue flew! Awwwww! Yay!! I was so happy when they started making Jean fly, so it's nice they were trying to keep the powers similar. And the "older" versions were nice to see at any rate. But it was a nice last epiosde- I knew the brotherhood couldn't stay away *G* And I nearly cried over Wanda being saved by Speed there. Awwwwwwwwww he really does care a little for his sister :-) It was a nice show of strength and unity (though I would have liked to have seen Lance in there as well) and lots of warm fuzzies for sticking up for what is right and helping each other out during the fight. All the family tension was interesting, too. Anyhoo, it's sad that it probably is over. It's such a warm fuzzy X-Men show :-) But at least they got a chance to put a decent ending on it. And at least they didn't "kill" Charles off. I was worried they might.
