Ewan and HP!
Nov. 12th, 2003 04:09 amThis breaks my heart!!!! Even if, well, Ewan's probably right. They aren't really bedtime reading(for an 8 year old and a 2 year old)... you'd want to stay up to hear more... and they are somewhat dark at times... still... ah!
EWAN McGregor has given the thumbs-down to JK Rowling’s fictional boy wizard, Harry Potter.
The Scottish actor has revealed that he refuses to read the popular books to his children, Clara, 8, and Esther, 2, because they do not make good bedtime reading.

I've always wanted to read 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' but feel silly buying them at my age. My kids at the elementary school LOVE them, though. And I'm sure I would. I'll just have to wait until I have kids of my own or neices/nephews to read them to/buy them for.

Date: 2003-11-13 01:37 am (UTC)Aw man ewan, didn't think that you would do something so harsh! Ewan seems to be against everything that our culture finds popular, you know? He's so anti-mainstream sometimes. =( Oh well, i still love him!
