Finished another fic
Nov. 15th, 2003 10:59 amI posted my Star Wars Alternate Reality fic... though I think I wrote alternative which is rather funny and makes me think I should spend more time editing the headers now than the fic itself. DOH! I'm an idiot when I'm typing too fast and half asleep. Sorry!
Anyhoooooo... It's... well, it's finished. ANd it was fun to write. And I'd like to one day write more. THough I think I'm tapped out on the quasi-original fiction for a little while as all my other bunnies are begging for attention. Still, I'm proud I actually wrote one. It alternates between Quinn and Ben's pov's very subtlely (though I know of two places where I slipped up on that, but the lines were too beautiful for me to cut out and I doubt anyone will notice!) And when characters speak is interesting/important in the story. I concentrated hard on that from the beginning. Especially as it took me back to the days when I didn't spell out the sneezes. It was certainly interesting to write. I hope it's all right. Usually the things that spill from my "creative style" part of my mind usually don't go over too well.
Had posting trouble... but it seems I finally got it posted... I'm a half an hour late for bed, so I'm heading off to brush teeth now, but there it is. Then it's 5 hours of sleep until I go see the last Matrix movie.
Alternative! *hits self in head again* Gods I'm terrible. Must... not... write... headers... or... post... while... sleepy...

Date: 2003-11-16 07:26 am (UTC)I don't *think* you will be disappointed...
This is not a plot bunny, but just something that made me think of you...we have a new manager at work, @ 39 years old, tall, with short, combed-back reddish blond hair, receding a little around the temples, glasses, pretty good looking guy - well known that he is gay...it all fits, right. He is still not all that well-liked, and I have not been very nice to him or helpful in the regard, but am trying to do better. So, I know that he has been walking funny for a couple days...limping. So I asked him how his afternoon was going yesterday, and he said he was really in a lot of pain and just wanted to go home and take some strong drugs...and so then I asked him what he had done to himself. He said that 20 years ago, he was in a car accident and had to have a laminectomy, so his back is a little troublesome. Then he goes on that a couple of weeks ago, he *sneezed* and it threw his back out and put him in this pain ever since!
I was staring at him, thrown completely off guard by the whole sneeze thing. Eventually came out of it and changed the subject, but kept thinking all the way home that I work with someone now who sneezes strongly enough to throw their back out! Whoo-hoo! And cold season is coming up!!
Anyway...it *did* make me think of you!

Date: 2003-11-16 07:49 am (UTC)Awwwwwww! LOL! I've been caught off guard by sneeze discussions so many times. I can't talk about allergies or colds or anything in public. I just can't. I clam up and try not to blush for as long as the conversation lasts. But wow... those are some strong sneezes- poor guy! Yikes!!! (Though I completely understand about the type of person- especially in management- that it's hard to like- I've known a dozen in my short lifetime- and I commend you for putting in an effort otherwise!)
But awww... poor guy! Mmmm... *G* THanks for sharing!
