Class today

tarotgalClass today was quite enjoyable... I'm glad I dragged my butt over to campus for a change. The topic for class today: porn. Yep. That's the fun, stimulating sort of thing we grad students do research to pay tuition to discuss. More specifically, porn on the internet and the way women and men treat it/are viewed with respect to it.
Now, normally this would be a lot of fun, and it was. But it was even more fun as I run a porn site and write errotic fiction. Can I say that on LiveJournal? lol At any rate, it was very interesting to hear a lot of the comments, and I really wanted to jump in and say some things from personal experience... but no matter how spirited the discussion is, there's no way I'm going to admit to 30 near-strangers that I run a fetish site. LOL
We also discussed blogs for a short while, and I DID comment about those (obviously, as I'm writing on one right now, I've got a little experience with them) A friend did a term project last semester about blogs as communities, so I knew a bit about that as well. One classmate suggested we show my blog up on the projector screen for the class (we were looking at examples) and, um, no. No thanks. heehee!
Anyway, there's much for me to think about, so if my posts seem to revolve around the sneeze fetish as porn, or fanfic as porn, this is my explanation of why :-)
