Thoughts

I watched the old live-action Prince Caspian and the Voyage of the Dawn Tredder movies tonight. And I have to say, that was my favorite performance of Warwick Davis. I really love him in those movies. I mean, I liked him in Willow a lot, but I guess it's just the combination of his acting with his character with the way he says 'Dryad' in this one that just really makes me happy :-)

I was listening to Enya's song 'Flora's Secret' just now in the car and had starlingly sweet visions of Haldir and Legolas lying together in the grass on their backs. Arg. I cannot possibly handle another plot bunny. But awwww. Sexy sweet blond elves :-)

Boyfriend just came back from bachelor party. They made penis sculptures out of play-doh and watched the playboy channel. Ok, so I watch a drama show with gay men and women fucking... but I've actually never watched- or wanted to watch- actual porn. It just doesn't do anything for me. *shivers* Plots and characterizations and emotions and writing and my own fantasies are MORE than enough. Actual porn squicks me a bit too much. But I do need to be emotionally involved... maybe that's the difference? Maybe that's why romance novels are a much more popular industry for female pleasure than porn movies?
Anyway, gotta go take a shower cuz boyfriend wants me over *sigh* Tis the problem with watching porn. LOL

Sleeepy time

I need a nap. Only a few hours of sleep last night, and woke up feeling rather sick to my stomach (maybe I was having sympathy pains from Hermione? lol)

Anyhoo, the wedding was nice. Apart from my two best friends and, maybe, 3 or 4 people I know a little better than as casual acquaintences, ALL of my friends are married :-) Ok, so there's one couple who isn't, but they live together (going on 4 years now) and they're as good as married, just don't like marraige. UG. Everyone's married! Or having kids. It's a little overwhelming! I've been to more weddings in the past year than in all the other years of my life combined. People must stop this! LOL

I think I take a little nap now :-) I'm having urges to do a Highlander/LotR/Forever Knight crossover video... trying to resist those urges. I've got enough to do! lol

Narnia DVDs

I'm slightly disappointed. Both trivia games on disks 2 and 3 freeze halfway through for me. I dunno if that's my system's fault or the disks. And in The Silver Chair (which I just watched) at least two lines were taken out. A little disconcerting as I know the darn things by heart and it's weird to suddenly hear the wrong thing next- why would they take out lines?
One is Aslan saying "You would not have been calling to me unless I had been calling to you"
Another is a bit of description about the sun between the prince and the 'Green Lady'. He describes it as a ball of light which "hangith in the sky" she replies "Hangeth in the what, My Lord?" he stumbles, unable to answer "See, you cannot tell me!" she exclaims. I really love her acting- it's actually one of my favorite lines of that whole last scene of hers. Grrr. Silly things to cut out! It's what, a total of a minute they saved, possibly less! *confused*

Ah well. Guess my original 'taped off the tv' versions are still good for something. And hey, it's PBS so there weren't commercials in it to begin with :-) Aaaaaaanyhoo... going to watch 'The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe' now. *crossing fingers that that movie isn't cut and the disk works all right* Mmmmm Edmund and Peter.... *G*

On a completely unrelated note, my latest problem in my new LotR fic suddenly got cleared up this afternoon when I woke up from my nap. It suddenly occurred to me that the solution was having multiple days. *hits self in head* Anyway, so the writing is going smoothly again. Yay!!!
