Happy new video!

I just made a new LotR music video (only took me a couple hours from idea to end product, not bad!)

It's an Arwen/Aragorn video (imagine that! I played around with a het couple for once! lol) done to the song 'If You're Not the One' by Daniel Bedingfield. I was was trying to figure out what channel the hockey game was on and on the TV Guide channel they were having an interview with him and played his new songs in the background- he's a very new artist from England. So I downloaded two of his songs (think I might actually buy his CD to be nice, heehee) and that song made me think a lot of Aragorn for some reason... I thought first about Legolas/Aragorn but halfway through the song I had to do Arwen instead. And so the vid was born.

YAY! Happy me! My second finished LotR music video. And I learned how to do blurry transitions last night, so the credits at the end look a little better than usual, too. It was a good excuse to try it out.

Finding a host...

It used to be the easiest thing in the world, didn't it? Plenty of space, plenty of features, so few restrictions. Grr. No longer!

So I'm bombarded by e-mails asking why my wavs and movies don't work- and that's because buildpage kicks them (and zip files, and probably other things) off. That's what they needed to do to keep themselves a host which provides unlimited ammounts of space. That's why I went with them originally.

So I spent 2 hours the other day trying to figure out what to do and where to put my sites... haven't come up with any clear answers yet!
I tend to go to sites like: Best Free Webspage Providers and try every link there that remotely fits what I want.
Some ones I've found that are good but STILL don't fit what I want:

• Zero Catch- http://www.0catch.com/ -no audio/movie files but 100MB of space for free and FTP
  
• Breezeland- http://www.breezeland.com/ -looks great, 100MB os space, 4gigs of bandwidth a month, FTP, CGI, Java... but I can't get to the signup page- it won't load for me LOL
  
• Fairmount- http://www.fairmount.nu/?refferal=9163 - not everyone receives free hosting- they decide based on how creative you are- i.e. that's NOT for me!
  
• Free Web Hosting- http://www.freeweb-hosting.com/ - this one looks PERFECT... but they're not doing sign-ups currently. Doh!
  
• USAll- http://www.webhosting.usallportal.com/free_webhosting.htm -3 GIGS of space... no FTP (but I can do things the hard way for that) but no audio/video files
  
• HostUltra- http://www.hostultra.com/ - again, same deal, for free your file types aren't what I need but they claim unlimited space and unlimited transfering
  

Of course, the other problem for me is that there's adult material on these sites. And while it's not exactly porn... well... it's sexual content. And some of these terms of service are MUCH more detailed than others. So I don't want to violate them if they specifically count me out in their terms.

So, once again, I am stuckith. *sigh* Anyway, hope this helps some of you who might be looking for new places to go... I'd personally recommend looking through lists like the one I mentioned above and like FreeWebspace.net because they have ratings systems and searches and things to narrow down choices.
