Feeling cut off

My power went out briefly tonight- for 10 minutes or so. And my internet went out for a good few hours thanks to that.
But I'm feeling especially cut off now that I can't get ANY e-mail. I can't even connect to the server any more. It must be completely overloaded thanks to this horrible computer virus going around. But thanks to it, I've not had e-mail for 2 days. I get about 500 e-mails a day... so I'm feeling VERY cut off from the rest of the world tonight, especially buried in the snow. *whimper*

I rewatched all of QAF Season 3 over the weekend. And after watching everything from Rose Red to CON:Voyage of the Dawn Tredder tonight, I had the urge to start QAF again. Something to play in the background and all. I'm up to episode 4. It's REALLY odd going from the end of Season 3 to the beginning of Season 1. Justin's *SO* different. Melanie suddenly has 3 grandfathers, and my feelings towards Blake do a complete turn-around.

GROWL!

*Finally* got a message from the university about the e-mail situation. Unfortunately, it is less than favorable:
"Due to the virus that is hitting computer systems on campus, the university mail (POP) system is down. There are also problems with modem pool authentication service. The system administrators are working to get these systems back up. There is presently no time estimate as to when the mail system and other services will be up."

NO Time Estimate. *feels depressed* That does NOT sound good! *sigh* Stupid virus. I haven't had proper e-mail since Sunday evening. I've checked for new virus defs and checked my computer for viruses 7 times now, just to be sure I'm clean- and I am. Squeaky. That's just about all I can do apart from wait, now. And cross my fingers.

TG's Realm Updated

Small update this time. I've been without e-mail for several days now, so I figured I'd cheer myself up and update a little so it's not so big a task next time :-)

So, this time we have:
*2 new Harry Potter stories- Second Time Around, Snuggles and Some Seriousness
*1 new Star Wars story- Warming
*2 new video clips
*2 video clips reloaded on request (ST:DS9)

Second Time Around is previously unposted and contains some minor spoilers for 2 stories I've not yet written. So just keep that in mind if you're thinking about reading it.

Okay, so that's it for the update. I started a new R/S series last night. At least, I think it will be a R/S series. It could just be a more general HP one. Anyway, it's based off the 5 senses. At least, I think it will be once I finish more than just the first story (which is Eyes). Anyway, so that's what's been side-tracking me today :-) Just thought I'd share. heehee
