So I saw on the website for my county that the library closer to where my new house is also sells books. I decided to stop in today and check them out on the way to work/dogsitting (for which I was drastically underpaid again, damnit, I hate having this conversation). Books at the library I usually go to are 50-cents for paperbacks and $1-$2 for hardcovers. Well, at this other library (which I haven't been to for years, I rather miss it!) are TEN CENTS APIECE! SCORE!!! There's not a huge selection but I found some fantastic ones I'm really excited about BookCrossing with, as well as some Buffy & Angel books I'm going to read just for the fun of it. PLUS, in the selection of about only 100, they had the EXACT book I wanted to release tomorrow for the weekly cover challenge: The Dead Zone. SCORE AGAIN!!! Sooooo happy. Really makes my day, that. I even have a special book about the Revolutionary War starting with the Shot Heard Round the World on April 19th to release on my birthday!
Now I get to make loads of phone calls about my damaged car. *sigh* If only car repairs and insurance were as easy as books...
