tarotgal: (Self Esteem Angel)
DAMN but I love Sundays. I slept in late, stayed in pajamas all day, and did nothing but relax and have fun.

I worked until 6pm at work #1 yesterday and nearly went insane. Think my boss was rather pissed with me, but I had a short fuse... there's just NO comparison between my old job and my newest one, which I love sooooooooooo much. Everything else feels so miserable. LOL

Last night a SW sneezefic bunny popped into my head. I wrote a few pages of it this morning but it's only about half done.
And I picked up Respect and actually made some good progress on it. It's 12 pages strong right now. It's not brilliant, like I had hoped, but it's getting better. With hard work I should have it done this week. Then it needs to be edited a whole bunch. And then I'll find the courage to submit it to a call for submissions I found the weekend I first checked out the website for my job. I must admit I'm slightly more optimistic about being accepted than I should be... but life is going well right now for me so I can handle a rejection if I get one of those.

So today I slept until about 1pm, watched movies, did my weekly Kakuro puzzle, wrote some stories, read some fanfic, broke open the Twizzlers I bought yesterday during one Hell of a Walmart trip, and read a book I'm nearly done with. Oh! And I got an e-mail saying that my order from Amazon.com was shipped. Apart from my external hard drive which I REALLY needed, it's my first "fun" purchase since getting a new job. I bought: Queer as Folk the Final Season on DVD, and the 4 hockey romance novels in the series I didn't have already (two of which I've read from the library).

And I cannot wait until work tomorrow. I've got several big projects to work on. I LOVE having work to do. I'm so used to just sitting around, bored and trying to think of something that needs to be done. But I've got projects and background projects and I really want to get a lot done this week.

Next Saturday I'm making plans to go into the District to visit the Jim Henson and William Wegman exhibits at the American History & American Art museums. I invited my sister who actually (at least today) seems excited about going.
