OMG
I found out about Heath Ledger right before leaving work today and cried the entire drive back home (or to the house where I'm dogsitting). It's so strange and unreal. And SO sad. Sad for him, for all his fans, and especially his daughter. Gods. *is crying again*
I remember first being mesmerized by him in 1997 when he was the lead in ROAR. I was officially "keeper of his worried look" and immediately a fan. Plus he was only a couple months older than I am. There are a few actors I love to the extent where I'll track down and watch obscure things by them just because they're in it (actually, I think that list contains only three others- Adrian Paul, Christopher Lambert, and Ewan McGregor... I honestly can't think of anyone else in that category) but Heath, yeah, I'd watch anything just because he was in it. I was actually thinking of watching Brokeback Mountain last night but decided I wasn't up for crying and I'm kind of glad now. Not sure I'll be able to watch anything with him in it for a while without being terribly sad that he's no longer around to bring his amazing performances to us. I'm going to be a complete mess during the next Batman movie- gods, how weird will that be? I was already going to have a hard time watching him in an evil role but now... damnit! WTF happened? Poor Heath. So very sad.
Okay. Had to post during my quick run home for supplies, food, and to drop off my dry cleaning. Going back to the house with no internet connection now.
