tarotgalSo much for being nonconfrontational. I just sent a very calm, tasteful e-mail, explaining that not everything online is necessarily public domain and I copy-pasted the terms of usage for both my sites.
It's just annoying. I would most certainly have granted permission in most cases(especially when it's something of mine)- but I was entrusted with a number of items by others and wasn't given permission to have those reposted all over creation. It's just... grrr! Why can't people just follow directions and have a bit of logic to them? Grrr!
And I'm NOT saying this person stole them... I didn't mean to imply that... it's certainly possible someone else gave them to him to use and he never had any idea where they came from. I don't point fingers, I just don't like when my terms of usage are violated.
So we'll see how it goes... right now I'm counting (roughly):
3 vid clips taken from TG's Realm
2/3 vid clips taken from TOS
a BUNCH of images taken from TOS (one of which I scanned in personally) though many of these I got from elsewhere, not personal donations, and would easily say "yeah, take 'em" had I been asked
2 wavs taken from TG's Realm
2 wavs taken from TOS- though they could have been found elsewhere
