*waves hello*
Aug. 12th, 2010 12:53 amLife has been ULTRA busy lately. This past weekend was BrickFair, a LEGO Convention. I spent way too much money and was insanely inspired. I also got to show off my creations (I bought 10 of them) and talk to lots of Harry Potter fans *G* I saw some old friends from last year and made some new friends this year. I wrote a 2-page recap tonight but I'm not going to have time to polish it off and get the photos in order before I leave, so it'll have to wait for my return.
Tomorrow I leave for the BookCrossing UnConvention in Boston. I haven't written my presentation script yet, but I'm planning on doing that on the train ride up there. I'll get there about an hour late to join the others for dinner, but I'm planning on going on the Salem early bird trip. I've always wanted to visit the museums and things in Salem! Plus it will be my first "big" gathering with BookCrossers! I can't wait. I'm nervous now but as soon as I'm on the road, I'll be fine. The goody bags are all made (minus the bookmarks I'd hoped for), my suitcases are 95% packed (just waiting on medications/toothbrush/pillow), and my phone & laptop are charging.
I won't have internet access at the hostel where I'll be staying but I'm told there might be connection points at coffee shops nearby. If possible, I'll make some posts while I'm on the trip. I'm definitely bringing my laptop because I had trouble reading books on the bouncy train but the laptop screen was no problem. So check my travel journal for updates.
On a totally unrelated note, my NCIS obsession is getting more intense (read: worse). I managed to watch 8 episodes after work Monday night. And I have 2 fic ideas racing through my head right now (plus one I just finished for
hc_bingo). I'm hoping once I finish watching all the seasons on DVD, it'll back off a little. I guess we'll find out. But in the meantime... they're both H/C and one is actually a sneezefic NOT set in Xanthe's BDSM verse. I'm very excited about them *G*
