House Hunting
Nov. 21st, 2011 01:52 pmI just put an offer in for a house. It's at the top of my budget and it's a little big for me. I won't have any furniture either LOL But it's a great house. 3 bedrooms, 3 stories, fireplace, hardwood floors, a pass-through in the kitchen, a lovely downstairs den, a deck, close to my work, etc.
And I'm totally not going to get it. There have been 6 offers made on it. Some of them are higher than my offer. Some of them are cash offers. But I'm a stable buyer with great credit (NO DEBT) and a down payment and it's a short sale & I'm willing to wait if the two banks take longer to reach an agreement. So I've got an actual shot, but if they're going strictly on financials, I certainly won't get it. In fact, I would be shocked and surprised if I got it. I'll know by tonight if they're going with my offer or one of the other half dozen.
I'm not hopeful, but I'm not nervous like I was last time I almost put an offer on a house.
