First off, tomorrow is voting day here for the democratic primary. I'm so undecided. The candidates running are all extremely strong and almost identical on all the issues I most care about. I listened to two phone town halls with two of the candidates, which made me want to vote for them. But someone who I trust worked on a former campaign for another candidate and the Washington Post endorses the two guys I wasn't planning on voting for. So now I'm thoroughly undecided. I would be happy with whoever wins, which is a good position to be in. But I'm bad at choosing and just when I thought I'd chosen, I'm given more reason to change my mind. But I have to wake up at 6am tomorrow morning to go vote before work, so I hope I've decided by then :-) I'll be voting for the first time in a new polling place, one I've never been to, so that will be scary for me. But it'll be a good trial run for November.

As for Max, he did stop eating again. So I spent all Saturday evening and Sunday force feeding him with a syringe again. All plans went out the window. I suspect this is my cat's way of countering my scheduling tendencies. I schedule myself down to the minute sometimes months in advance. It's the only way I can get everything done. But now, on any given day, I don't know if it's going to be a normal day where I feed my cat and then check back at lunch and all is well or if it's going to be a day of liquidizing food and squirting it into the cat's mouth every three hours on the hour for a whole day. It takes about 40 minutes to do a feeding, if all goes well. It takes longer if something goes wrong like Max gets restless and starts fighting. So once I finish, it's 2 hours until the next feeding and we start all over again. Which means I don't get a whole lot done during the day. I work or sleep in 2 hour increments. But it's not something I can plan for. So I wonder if this is Max's way of telling me that sometimes I have to give things up or slow down and sometimes things come up that I can't plan for and have to adapt to. Kind of sucks, but I can learn from it.

I really just want Maxwell feeling better. And I'd like to be able to sleep again some day. And get caught up on my coursework (I'm taking an online course for work).

On a happy note, I've been watching a lot of Star Trek TNG in the background these past few weeks. I started off just watching my absolute favorites. Then I wanted more, so I watched some of the others I love but didn't make my top 20 list. Then I'm just watching them all but skipping the ones I like least (mostly the klingon political drama ones and the Troi-centric ones. I adore Worf, but I really can't take a lot of the hardcore klingon episodes at once; all that strength exhausts me). Anyone have a favorite Star Trek TNG episode? Here are my top 22 favorites:
1. Cause and Effect
2. The Inner Light
3. Lower Decks
4. Darmok
5. Ship in a Bottle
6. Tapestry
7. Chain of Command
8. The Measure of a Man
9. First Duty
10. Genesis
11. Déjà Q
12. I, Borg
13. Phantasms
14. A Matter of Time
15. Yesterday’s Enterprise
16. The Next Phase
17. The Pegasus
18. Datalore
19. Starship Mine
20. The Game
21. Angel One
22. All Good Things…
