More updates...
Jan. 1st, 2004 11:11 pmEven more updates FYI...
There are now 14 stories archived for the SF Challenge and more than 4 days to go. Not bad at all! Great job, everyone!
I just finished my massive Remus/Sirius story and sent it in. Finally got it to exactly 50 pages (okay, with the header it runs onto page 51, but I'm not including the header in any of my word counts, so I'm not going to count it in my page count as well) It uses a bunch of the bunnies... and was a lot of fun to write. Lots of R/S goodness that makes me smile :-)
Now I just have to finish my LotR fic... and possibly my other Star Wars fic (though I'm not holding my breath on that one) I also wrote a very, very silly, very short PWP PotC fic for the challenge. Just because I thought I'd try one of the shorter word limit ones.
I saw RotK again in theaters with my father yesterday. Didn't manage to drag sister. But she's been bitchy lately so it probably wouldn't have been as much fun with her anyway. I cried through it a little less... I cried through about 60% rather than 70-80% like the first time I saw it. *sniffles* But I'm still looking forward to all the cut scenes. I need more of a lot of things, though I understand why they cut some things out. Still, while I adored the movie, I do think they extended version will be even more to my liking. But *sigh* on the big screen... that was incredible.
Finished reading Joe Pants' autobiography yesterday morning, too. Got it as a Christmas present (I asked for it specifically) My GODS. I love the guy, I really do, but I had NO idea how much he went through. It's just pretty much up through his starting to become an actor... it's really mind-bogglingly incredible, though. And it's kind of nice to hear his adorable voice in my head as I read it *G* I cried a lot... I laughed a WHOLE lot... and was generally amazed at it all. Makes me feel a lot better to know he was in 10+ years of therapy as well... I'm amazed he's as normal as he is after all he went through! He's my new hero :-) Anyway... Twas a lovely read. I think its official title is 'Who's Sorry Now?' if anyone is still actually reading this gushing paragraph and wants to read the book.
