My morning

tarotgalAh, another morning. I've not been sleeping much, it's very weird. I go to bed at 4am or 5am and wake up at 9 (or at 8:30, like I did today) I can't understand it.
At any rate... I feel 90% better today- YAY! Then I get a call to say I have strep throat. Ack. My first time ever. Good thing I got all paranoid and went to the health center yesterday.
SO I got up, killed another 20 ants in my bathroom, and got dressed, wearing the only black shirt I own in protest because my school's Board of Visitors are being complete a$$holes lately. There was a big protest rally that started at 11 this morning- wish I could have gone, but I am wearing black, despite it being a blasted 70 degrees out right now. Bleh! Bring back winter!
I sent my Lord of the Rings fic to Hermione for betaing (YAY!!) then (ack, I just sneezed) went over to campus to pick up meds. Sadly, only sneezing girls there this time in the pharmacy. Darn. Got my meds- big capsules... they scared me. As I'm pulling out of the parking lot- very busy- I see a freakish looking SUV-like vehicle and start happily freaking out. I make 3 left turns on the busiest streets on campus (a student was killed crossing one of these streets last year because they're so horrible) and circle back to see it and YES! It was an Element! That's my car, the one I'm going to buy if and when I finally get a job and money to buy a car. I had never seen one in person before, only drooled over commercials and the website. MAN... cuteness!!! I want it!
So then I headed over to Krogers, where I never shop because they are expensive unless you have one of those cards where they can track you and all the info about what you buy goes into a huge government database where they can stalk you. I bought a large jar of the best applesauce I could find and then two Morning Star Farms Chick'N Pot Pies because Walmart (who I hate for the whole sexist and child labor reasons but at least doesn't stalk me) stopped carrying them. So yay! I've missed them... yummy veggies and fake chicken that tastes a bit like chicken but different enough cuz I don't really like the taste of chicken all that much anyway.
Applesauce... yeah, I can't swallow pills. I mean, I can swallow small pills like claritin and my birth control pills, but sometimes I even have trouble with those. I just get really, really scared and panicy that they're going to make me gag and I'll throw up *cringe* and I don't want that and it scares me and I'll do ANYTHING to avoid it, even eat pills like a 5 year old if it means not getting so completely paniced and crying cuz of my emetophobia. Gods, I'm a freak, LOL. I even chew soup so hiding whole pills in ice cream or applesauce doesn't work.. I just have to open the capsule and mush it all in together- YUCK! But it's better than freaking out when I'm already sick. I'm nearly crying typing this, lol. Tis ok. I've got it under control. No gagging and mmphing for me. So bring on the applesauce!
What a lovely start for a day. LOL Kinda sad, though. I'm not going to be able to see my girls at the elementary school today. :-(
