Green Sweatshirt... and other things

tarotgalWhile cleaning out my dresser last week, I found my green sweatshirt. It's very old and doesn't really have the softness or thickness that new sweatshirts have, but I adore it. I bought it for $4 at the Salvation Army when I was in 10th grade. The sleeves are a little longer than most, and the cuffs are about an inch and a half long, so they cover my palms without my intentionally pulling the sleeves down. I love it for that. It's just so big and comfy, and with the long sleeves it reminds me of Methos from Highlander episode 'Comes a Horseman' when he throws cassy off the bridge- yummy long sleeved sweater. Ah, but I love this sweatshirt- I'd always wondered where it went. So happy to have reclaimed it! :-)
Still haven't decided on a fandom for a Friday fic. I had H/C thoughts of Jack and Will as I was falling asleep(which is strange because I don't really ship them)- but in a "a sword just ran me through, patch me up and nurse me back to health" sort of way, not a sneezefic way. And then I tried to think of a good couple for that sort of thing where I could integrate sneezing more easily/naturally... and didn't really come up with anything because it only takes me about a minute to fall asleep. Right before I did, however, I thought maybe of writing that femslash story. I can't work out the beginning of it... but I've been in a Neville mood lately so maybe I'll start with him and get out some of my physical hurt cravings through him at the same time. It's worth a shot. And it's another way of pushing me to write it. I'm still a little hesitant. Think I'll go curl up on my couch with a defrosting pb&j and an iced tea and my writing notebook to watch Judging Amy and see what starts to flow in the story :-)
I "finished" a Sirius/Remus story last night (nonsneezefic). It's the wolf one I mentioned. It's a little strange, and I don't think I'll post it on any of the other HP lists I'm on considering how harsh they are sometimes with strange stories. But on the other hand, people do post crap there, too. I dunno... I think it needs a beta. Or just major editing on my part. I kept wanting to change tenses halfway through so I at least need to make sure I didn't :-) And I worked a little more on my story for the Harry/Neville challenge. It's coming along really well. Harry's very angsty and depressed so even though there's no hurt/comfort... well, there's a lot of hurt. So it's fun to write. Ug. That sounds terrible. LOL! Poor Harry! :-) But I think the story will turn out all right. I'm a tad worried about the sex scene... but I'm still far away from that, so I won't worry too much yet. I have the twincest sex scene to write for my first twincest story now, too. It's sitting open and waiting. It's a shower one and it's started... I just need to finish it and be brilliant, and I can't count on that right now. LOL! Poor Fred and George. The story was going so well up to that point. heehee!
