tarotgalJust got home... am going to go take Boyfriend out to dinner in a few for his birthday today. I only have 2 of his 4 presents, sadly. The other two will be arriving in the mail some time this week.
Finished my Neville/Harry story this morning around 3am and sent it to be betaed. Yay! :-)
Finished my taxes... we redid them several times... first because we suddenly found the documentation for the student fees I paid this year and second because we wanted to factor in an education credit. Virginia State taxes were a bit easier- only did those once :-) I'm looking at about $750 back this year. Not too bad. MUCH needed considering I'm unemployed and dipping into savings these last few months to pay bills.
Watched the last 2 Matrix movies with my father over the weekend. Had to explain both to him in detail before he understood them. Watched disk 1 of FotR EE with Mother one night- left both the first and second movies with her because she's never seen them. I'm missing them already! *sniffle* It's okay, I've got the FotR EE and regular TTT on my computer if I get too lonely. I need to clear space so I can download RotK for vidding. I don't know if I can vid to it yet, but I've only got a month and a half before I lose my wonderful ethernet connection so I want to download it while I still can for future vidding purposes.
I've got 168 e-mails to catch up on... not to mention all the other stuff I must do! But at least taxes are out of the way. That's a relief.
The drive down was EVIL. Lots of rain. I had no visibility for about 15 minutes, and half of the idiots in Northern Virginia drive around without their headlights on in a rainstorm, so I almost hit a taxi because I couldn't see it in the rain and it was invisible until I was nearly upon it. GROWL! Tomorrow morning I'm going to call the taxi company and complain. It was a Herndon Reston Cab (number 76) headed towards Dulles airport around 2:30pm. In POURING rain. Without lights on. Very dangerous. Very illegal. I'm going to enjoy complaining tomorrow. Nice of them to print the company's phone number right on the back of the car. heehee
