Oohhh we're getting another thunderstorm right now *bounces happily* Love love love...
Last night we had a sudden hail storm. HAIL! In May! Twas incredible! And even though we had hail and high winds, no tornado which makes it even more incredible and certainly much more fun. We had about 10 minutes of warning for the hail storm... and it was hard hail, too. I got hit in the arm by a couple pieces- owww- LOL. Was really neat. ALl the grass was covered in little pieces of ice for a while afterwards. The sky was bright blue, with gray-pink clouds here and there the whole time. Was very neat. Of course it disrupted the tv when I was trying to watch stuff- they actually cut away from it all to inform us of the emergency and to tell us to take shelter immediately. But the hail and sudden, localized storm passed after about 15 minutes. Was very neat, though. Especially since it did no damage to the cars and no one was hurt. It delayed things at the airport and backed the schedule up about 5 hours, which sucked. But apart from that, no real damage.
I'm taping Dirty Rotten Scoundrels right now on Bravo. I taped it once before about 7 or 8 years ago, but it's at my parents' house and Bravo is showing a couple added scenes I hadn't seen since I saw the movie on video. heehee I love this movie *G* I'm going to tape A Wrinkle in Time after it.

Date: 2004-05-10 05:01 pm (UTC)Yay Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Frank Oz, Steve Martin, Michael Caine, too good!)! A Wrinkle in Time looks good, too. I've always meant to read the book but have never managed to get a copy. *sigh* Oh, well. I AM going to watch the movie. I am very determined about that. Maybe it will push me to read the book finally...

Date: 2004-05-10 06:36 pm (UTC)Awwww! Yay to someone who actually knows that movie! It really cracks me up every time. Michael Caine is so funny in his seriousness against Steve Martin's more extreme humor. It's so very clever and engaging and light and humorous at the same time... *sigh* I love that movie.
I'm going to have to watch the movie tonight when it finishes taping as I missed the first hour and a half. And having not read the book since probably around 4th or 5th grade, I don't remember enough of the beginning to be able to jump in. I just remember the key moments throughout. So I'll have to watch it later tonight.
