Everything and then some

tarotgalGah... life is strange sometimes. Here's an account of my day thus far:
-Was woken up 3 hours early in order to get out of the house at a decent hour. I was expecting it, but tired. I slept in another half an hour after that.
-Got dressed, ate, brushed teeth/hair and then sat around waiting for another 35 minutes for sister to finish showering and dressing. Wish I'd slept in an hour instead of just half.
-Went to city government building to talk about my recent parking citating- the FIRST ticket I've ever received. It was for having an expired sticker/no county car sticker (even though I'm not required to have one until 60 days after my move). Got new decal and arranged to go to traffic court. Freaked out at the idea, but it's not until August. We'll see. I'm going to study the citation and then decide if I really do have a case.
-Got VISA bill. Shite. *shakes head* Thank the gods I got a lot of my deposit from my apartment back on Friday (though they made me pay about $140!)
-Did normal shopping/chores (visited my storage unit to pay bill but didn't bring key so I couldn't go in, got gas, dropped Mom's car off to be inspected overnight, dropped of library books, etc.)
-Convinced Mom to buy one of those nice cloth message boards (with the ribbons and things- we can't use thumbtacks/push pins in the kitchen because dog will eat them) and also bought a large padded envelope so I can send Hermione's something tomorrow!
-Got pissed at family... stupid little things. PMS-inspired rage. But at least we got home in time for me to see Angel at 5 :-)
-Started another short fic. It's... yeah, I know, it's terrible... but it's Snape/Remus *ducks and hides* I know! Look at me! Shipping THEM! Who woulda thunk it? I think it's reading all these fics from Sharon! I'm not going to make it a habit... but the bunny was too yummy to pass up. I was tempted to make it Brian/Justin instead, but Snape/Remus makes far more sense.
-Am still working my way through the boykissing requests. 2 down and (I think) 6 to go. But 2 are in progress. I'm writing them in order of request for the most part. One's in progress on the comp. The other in progress on paper. So when I finish the comp one I'll type the paper up and finish it while I work on another on paper... you get the routine. I'm trying to get them all done this week and I'm pretty hopeful still!
-Watched Jeopardy- MAN that Ken guy is fuckin' incredible! *wishes they never had number of day limits* I'm really interested to see how far he goes!
-Watched The Big One. I have Michael Moore's book 'Downsize This' but had never seen this movie. Couldn't stop laughing and cheering and clapping. Gods I love that man.
-Talked to ex-boyfriend on the phone for a couple hours. He's getting ready for the big move from Virginia to Microsoft (in Washington). Is having problems coordinating it all, but seems to be doing better today. Which is excellent. Am worried about his cat more than anything, but I'm sure it will be okay.
-Watched a game show scandal (Press Your Luck) show on GSN. Holy crap that was an interesting show. With a very sad ending :-(
-Had lots of incidents with the cats. We've been feeding them moist food once the dog goes to bed. They're all starting to get anxious when 10:00pm rolls around. And my Maxwell is a moist food whore. He cries and runs around frantically until he gets his. And then eats it twice as fast as the others. Then waits until the other 3 cats are done and eats what they leave behind. You'd think he never got fed in his life, the way he acts!
-Walked 4581 steps so far today. Will try to make it over 5,000 by the end of the day! *crosses fingers*
Okay. That's it. Off to write some more. I'm dead tired though. So we'll see.
Oh, I wanted to say one thing about Queer as Folk. Episode 8 is DEFINITELY my favorite episode ever!!!!! *loves* I cannot get over that one scene. I just... okay, yeah, I'm a hurt/comfort junkie. I admit that. But that scene... ugh... *dies* And then I watch episode 9 and think "This is the best season EVER!" Okay, so maybe there are other scenes I adore... and probably episodes I like more. But that scene in episode 8 is DEFINITELY my favorite scene of all time. Hands down. Prom is second, obviously, but... guhhh *is speechless with adoration* I was spoiled on the Lindsay storyline... which I don't particularly like. And I'm Darren finding a little odd. He's like Alexander in the original UK series... only not quite as lovable. I think my problem is his huge involvement when we've never known him before now (unless I totally missed something?). I love him, don't get me wrong. I just... I don't feel that strong attachment yet. It's okay. Took me a while to warm up to Ben that way, too. It'll happen. But... yeah... episode 8. Has. Best. Scene. Ever. And I can't get over how fucking adorable episode 9 is. I know it sounds horrible, but this Brian storyline is way too delicious for my tastes.
