SF updates journal/community?
Aug. 15th, 2004 11:23 pmOkay... this is just a mad/insane thought I had a couple minutes ago. I'm not sure I like it much, but I thought I'd propose it... though I'm doing so hesitantly.
Would it be useful to anyone other than myself to have a livejournal user/community account for sneezefic update news? I just took over the sneeze fiction archive (yes, you may shoot me now. I'm officially an over-committed nut) and was thinking about update announcements. SO I was thinking I could make an account just for updates which include my site, the archive, the weekly hatchings, and any sneezefic challenge news for when we have the next one of those. But that can all be done on the yahoo group and my LJ like I've been doing it until now. But would it be useful for anyone who stalks their friends list to have a separate update journal so it doesn't get mixed in with my normal pointless postings? If I made it into a community, others could post about their own site updates or call attention to fics they posted, etc. Which at first sounded great but then sounded WAY too redundant to me. We already have a yahoo group community and I love it and posting in two different communities is pointless. Apart from the friends list usefulness. But I don't know that that many people would find that useful. Apart from myself. And as I'll be making most of the announcements I already know the content.
ANYWAY, point is, would anyone prefer I make a separate Sneezefic updates journal for this stuff or should I just mix it in my current journal as I have been doing? I dunno. I love the yahoo group to death. Mainly because it's fun to visit and I don't have to maintain it. LOL I don't want to do anything to distract from it or be too repetitive. I dunno. It was just a thought. Any thoughts about my thought to those of you who use LJ?
