Commercial
Feb. 14th, 2003 11:45 pmBeen thinking a lot about realtionships lately... can't imagine why ;-) and just came across that car commercial about the girl who goes through boyfriends (and dogs) but her car is still reliable. So, ok, I think her sneezing boyfriend is cute. So sue me. I just find media portrayals of sneezing interesting... and perhaps they are one of the reasons I view sneezing the way I do. It's usually used for humor or to portray discomfort/sickness. While I've never really found sneezing funny (sexy, tres oui! but not funny) I suppose I've gravitated towards the more serious sickness track. Maybe this is partly to blame for my liking sneezing within the context of colds more than allergies- the associations I have with each one.
I suffer from both colds from time to time, and allergies, and I certainly don't hold the viewpoint that some do- that allergies are a more temporary condition and therefore less suffering, nicer to see, etc. I've actually met mostly guys who think this. I rather believe that they're both pretty bad... but at least from a nursing standpoint there's something to be done to help cute lads with colds *G*
Anyway, just some thoughts. Boyfriend cut the movie off halfway through without any comment (my guess is he didn't like it. Well, that's why I bought MYSELF the DVD) *GGGGROWL!* so I felt the need to distract myself from the annoyance. Maybe I should start meditating again...
