Three more
Nov. 3rd, 2004 05:01 amOkay, just three more polotical things to bitch about:
1- I'm INCREDIBLY bummed about Senate Democrat leader Tom Daschle losing. He spoke at my high school graduation. His daughter was a friend of mine. They were so sure he'd win... and how they need to figure out a new minority leader... gods I'm bummed!
2- If we just had an extremely conservative candidate and an extremely liberal candidate we wouldn't fucking have these problems. How about candidates who actually DIFFER on most issues? Instead of this right down the middle CRAP that caused the close-ness this year and last year? Drives me crazy. We need choices. And, yeah, I understand that they all feel that if they don't go middle-ground then they won't win. But you call this election crap winning? CLEARLY the country is divided and unable to choose between candidates who are similar on so many issues. Not all issues, no. But obviously we are not a happy country now as a whole and if we actually had a choice among candidates with a variety of views maybe we would be able to unite for a change. I'm fucking tired of such close elections.
3- I'm not even going to explain how wrong Ward 8 in Washington D.C.'s election was. WTF?!!!!! Just goes to show how horrible things can get when people are really in need.
*end of rant*
