Happy Thanksgiving! I had a slice of pumpkin pie- just out of the oven- a few hours ago. Oohhhh. Best. Pie. EVER! Totally makes my whole Thanksgiving. Excellent. Hope your days go well, too!!
I just watched The Wool Cap (TNT, William H Macy- I love him- anyone yet notice how much I adore character actors?). Oh my GODS but that was a beautifully done movie! I was cracking up, I was sobbing (sometimes at the same time, but usually not). I have a tiny issue with one thing at the end, but the rest was just fantastic. So magical. And touching. *sigh* Fabulous movie! I'm definitely glad I taped it and watched it!
I watched HP3 again today. Had to cover my eyes at the end because I was too embarrassed by it. LOL Then again, I barely watched it in theaters as well, since I knew how it would end. But even though there are soooo many parts I'm not a fan of, I'd totally spend the $16 all over again just for those three precious Remus/Sirius pieces of evidence. And the pillow fight. And the spider dream thing. GODS but I love those parts. And I cried again at some of Sirius' lines and tried warning the characters on screen about Sirius' upcoming death- I don't think they heard, but it made me feel better *hugs her Padfoot stuffed animal* There are definitely a bunch of little parts I like (harry's "Poor Professor Lupin's having a very hard night!" and Lupin's "I've looked worse, believe me" *giggle*) but on a whole, I'm still annoyed by many of Alfonzo's choices. But if I were making the movie, it really would be a 16 hour movie and no one would go to see it so I guess they made the right choice. I'm just utterly embarrassed by the end. *facepalm*
Oh, ah, fics:

Oh, ah, fics:
- Worked on my Tala sneezefic *G*
- Made big progress on my week 25 hatching Harry sneezefic
- Played with two Weiss Kreuz Ayafics. Not quite sure yet where the Aya/Yohji one is going... especially as I have Yohji sleeping with a woman at the beginning (implied) LOL. But we'll see.

Date: 2004-11-25 04:31 am (UTC)Darn! Yet another thing I missed out on because I don't have cable. I knew this movie was coming out and William H. Macy is on the cover of the newspaper TV Guide this week, too. Macy is my favorite actor by far and I was privileged to have attended an interview with him a couple years ago when he received a Maverick award at the local film festival. He's the nicest guy...and a pretty good carpenter as well...
The ending of HP3 is just weird...and stupid. My dad who hasn't read any of the books didn't understand it at all so in that regard Cuaron did a poor job as a film maker and disappointed the fans. Some times you have to work with constraints of what you have, though, editing is hard, believe me!
Anyway, enjoy your pie and happy Thanksgiving!
