I think I'm getting a digital camera from my parents for Christmas this year. Which is seriously over the usual amount reserved for gifts, but they may just go for it. And only it. Which is good. I would really love one. Especially as my real camera broke a few months back *shakes fist at it* I think it was trying to tell me something. LOL
Fic stuff: I worked a little more on my Aya fics. Still don't know where the Yohji/Aya one is going. LOL And I finished, edited, and posted my Harry fic for week 25's bunny. It's short and cute. It turned out exactly as it played out in my head, so that's good. No real surprises (apart from possibly Trevor) but nothing bad, either. I'm glad to have finally finished it. One more to scratch of my list. I think it's time to do another WIP-count soon.
I watched Velvet Goldmine again tonight. Oohhh *sigh* I just love that movie so very, very much. It's strange, but I love it. I think I love it so much in part because it's so strange. And no matter how much I think I understand it, I still feel like I don't QUITE get it completely. But in a good "well, I'll just watch it again!" sort of way. And GHODS I love Ewan!
Thanksgiving was good. My dinner consisted of rolls, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, green beans, and fruit salad. Yeah. This is not a holiday made for vegetarians. (Especially vegetarians who seriously dislike stuffing and cornbread- YICK! BLEH!) My mother took pity on me as we were moving things from the kitchen and dining room and took some frozen beans out of the freezer and microwaved them. LOL Luckily my father didn't put marshmallows in with the fruit salad or I would have had to scratch them off the list, too. This is probably my least favorite holiday ever, though. As a kid I was ALWAYS sick on Thanksgiving. So I always associate it with... that word I can't type/say/think about *shudder* I outgrew that trend between middle and high school, but then it was too late to save the holiday for me. It's a great idea, a day to give thanks and all... I just don't like all the meat and... I'm just... I'm Chandler from Friends. With a less traumatic backstory. LOL
I want to take my sister to see Rocky Horror. I found out a week ago that there's a production a minute from my boss' house (which is 15 minutes from my house) right outside the local university. I haven't gone in SUCH a long time and she's a virgin (as are her friends, I'm assuming). I love bringing groups of virgins to RHPS. It's like a hobby. LMAO! I think that's because I never got a proper de-virginizing at my first attendance of the show, due to time/space matters. *pout* But, yeah, it would be great fun to go. I think she'll need warming up to the idea, though it couldn't hurt to try :-) I so miss going and it'll be interesting to see it from a different company. (Even though the cast changed a lot, the virgin games and props and inside jokes were all the same back where I usually attended productions)
Watched the Seinfeld special tonight. Soooo funny! Loved that show. The parking garage episode is my absolute favorite.
Two cats are asleep on my bed right now. And if I had a digital camera, I could show you which ones ;-) I don't have the heart to kick them off yet.
Oh, the suspected rats in the backyard. My parents' dog came trotting up from the bushes with one in his mouth the other day. He dropped it at Mom's feet and wagged his tail. He's a cairn terrier; that's what they're bred to do. But YIKES! He didn't kill it- apparently it looked like it had been dead for a while. He just found it and brought it over. I didn't look at it myself. But, yeah, definitely a rat. (Gave me all sorts of idead for Peter-fics! LOL!) We haven't heard/seen them [alive] for days though. My parents put up a metal guard around the birdfeeder so they possibly realized they couldn't get food and left/died of hunger.

Date: 2004-11-26 11:51 am (UTC)You should see The Serpent's Kiss, then. (Strange but interesting movie- especially if you like nature, which I do. The banner on my HCRec journal is from that movie. Charley-boy's good in, it, too even if he only has, like, 4 lines). Completely Naked!Ewan but bushes (which at that point fit totally into the plot, so I can't really knock them) obscure his fine talent during his naked scene. It's usually in the $5 crap movies bin at various Walmarts, but I'm sure it's rentable, too.
one downside to pets!
I suppose so *shrug* I don't really mind- it's what they're supposed to do. Their instincts. I don't think I'll ever feel like there are downsides to having pets. I could probably list ten that I could make a logical argument towards, but I don't really fell them. *shrug*
Poor bunny rabbit, though :-(
As for RHPS- love the Time Warp. But the movie... yeah, you should go see it(she said sarcastically!) You would probably die from the shock. I adore it to death, but I'm perverted :-)

Yes. Exactly. *hugs* It's nice to know people out there understand that associative thing. It's very irrational and difficult to explain to people who don't already understand it. I never feel much like eating on the day of because of that (and when I do it's eating very safe, trusted things just in case). Which rather sucks as it's sort of a holiday that revolves around eating!

Date: 2004-11-26 07:36 pm (UTC)Charley-boy is an actor and friend of Ewan (they met during that movie) who Ewan just went around the world with on bikes (aka, the long way round). He's a great guy.
As for "tasteful" nudity... I wouldn't say ANY of the moments are the least bit "tasteful". But none of them are obligatory, if that's what you mean. There's a reason for each and every moment, not just nudity for nudity's sake (though I certainly wouldn't mind a movie like that! *drools*). I'm not sure I would call them "tasteful" by any stretch of the imagination... "tasty" perhaps... *EG*
im pretty prude-like when it comes to certain movies--now i can easily say "fuck" w/o cringing
Yep. I'd say you're about as FAR from being in an "able to see RHPS live" as it's possible to be. You're probably 10% ready to see it on tape, though. That's a start. LOL But, yeah, I'd say stay away from the theaters. I wouldn't want you to die. That would be bad :-)
