Random Christmas Question

Anyone know the name for that wreath of candles and green leaves a person wears on his/her head? It's from Sweden, I think(I know the story about St. Lucia), but I'm not getting much success in my search engine searches. All I've managed to find it called is a 'wreath of candles'. But I feel like it has a name... I just don't know it. *sigh*

Anyway, if anybody knows its name, or lack thereof, let me know!

Just a couple hours and I get to open a Yule present! *excited bounces*

I should know this one...it's a big focus of one of my favorite books in the 'American Girls' series, about Kirsten, the immigrant from Sweden. I read these books constantly when growing up, and the name is sitting there just out of reach of my memory...sorry. Wish I could be of more help.

It's okay... after about 20 websites, I decided that there doesn't really seem to be a name people consistently use. Half just call it a wreath of twigs and candles, or leaves and candles. Others call it a Lucia Wreath. So I think it's probably all right if I just call it a wreath with leaves and candles... as most people would be clueless if I called it a Lucia Wreath.

I love Kirsten. Though my first was Samantha. My little girls at the elementary school loved those books- it was great to have an excuse to re-live all the fun of them! And engage in debates about favorites :-) I just wish they'd had all of the fantastic merchandise they have now back then! Did you happen to catch the WB movie a few weeks ago? I meant to but missed it.

It's called 'Lucia krona' in Swedish - which should be translated in English as 'Lucia wreath' or 'Lucia crown'. So you were right. :)
