Honestly, I was really so very hopeful after hearing that the players gave in last night. I know I really shouldn't have had my hopes up, but I couldn't help it. But I guess they just couldn't get their numbers to mesh properly. My poor league *huggles*

I was hoping, hoping, hoping. I miss my hockey and my redwings. When I moved, I didn't even put my wings stuff out. It's all on the top shelf of my closet where it will stay until (hopefully *crossing fingers*) next season.

I don't know what this is going to do the older players who are on the verge of retirement.

Totally bummed here...After homework I'll watch my Ultimate Gretzky DVD and cry a little.

Gah! Sucks, doesn't it?

There was a big news story on the local news here about how bad it is for the downtown economy, about how restaurants had to cut back on employees and such. Then they had the Sharks owner on talking about how there might still be hope. Oh shut up! Dude, give it up. And then they talked to the mayor and everything...Blah, blah, blah. Poor empty arena.
