I'm at work and taking a break to distract myself from my intense hunger and sleepiness. So here I am.
Well, after a hellish yesterday, my morning wasn't too bad. Fell in and out of sleep for a few hours, realizing that my sister wasn't at school when supposed to be and there was much shouting up and down the stairs. I turned the volume up slightly and was asleep before Spike began to cheat at kitten poker.
Mmmmm. Spike.
Just as we were leaving to go vote, the gas station called and said my car was ready. (Voting is on the way there). So that's good.
*sigh* My elementary school was all redone since I went there... half of it's completely different and it doesn't feel right any more :-)
But, anyway, I voted. And that was fun. I was the 24th democrat of the morning to vote. Nearly three times as many republicans showed up by that time. Not that I'm surprised. I hate living in NOVA.
Anyhoo, I got my car back. Was $75. BLEH! $75 for fixing the clip that holds my lightbulb in place! But whatever. My car's passed safety and emissions inspections now, so all is well and happy and legal. Er, except I still need to send license plate tag renewal money to the DMV. *makes mental note to do that today*
But, yeah, I'm just glad to have my car back! *snuggles*
My sister's calc exam is tomorrow. She's so going to fail, despite my best efforts. I've been trying to push her but she keeps blowing me off and not concentrating or studying. There's only so much I can do, and that's annoying. I SO wanted her to do well. But she's not putting in ANY effort. And instead of working through an assignment last night she went out to hang with boyfriend. Grrr. So I'm washing my hands of it. If she fails, it's not my fault!
I'm hoping to have Friday off again. I'm so used to it now, I'm spoiled ;-) But I may be typing up a term paper for my boss all weekend (he's useless on the computer and I don't understand anything about the subject material anyway so it's not like I could help).
If I DO have Friday off, I'm planning on seeing Batman Begins and then buying some new shirts. I have, like, nothing to wear lately. And after doing laundry yesterday (which was embarrassing in and of itself as my hip went out temporarily and I was crawling up and down the stairs to change a load- LMAO) I decided I need more than 5 good shirts. My favorite place to buy clothes (where I buy 95% of the clothes I own) is the JC Penny's Outlet right by the movie theater (a 45 minute drive from my house, so I don't go there often... except lately to the movies a lot *G*)
And THIS TIME, if I go, I'm determined to get there without getting lost on the first turn.
Plus, buying clothing should be MUCH more fun now that I'm only 5 pounds away from my goal weight. Yayness!
Assuming I'm not working. If I am, I'll just have to put that off until next week. Sorry Liam and Christian! ;-)
Tomorrow's going to be a QAF morning, I think. Though possibly with plain bagels instead of bagels and cream cheese, sadly. Stupid stomach.
