Unfortunately, I don't have a very good answer to this question, but I'll tell you what I know.

If you own the pay-version of Real Player, I think there's a way to save those files. I'm not certain, because I don't own that. As such, there's no easy answer and it's something I've been annoyed at for years because there are SO many great streaming video and audio clips I'd love to keep but don't know how to.

My not-so-great-but-it-works solution is to open up SoundRecorder with a temp.wav file that I've created to be something huge like 10 minutes long. Then, as I'm playing the file in Real Player, I hit record in the SoundRecorder program. After that I can use GoldWave and convert it to mp3 if I want. The quality isn't 100% spectacular, but usually it's good enough for me. It's kind of a crappy solution to work around the annoying problem, but unfortunately it's all I've got.
