Okay, so once in a while I'm in the mood for squick and after reading Draco/Dobby and liking it I thought what the heck? So I went over to hp_squick where I've visited a couple times before but I'm by no means even a casual reader. I didn't make it more than a few posts before the world's WORST fic challenge hit me: The July Emetophila Challenge

Um. Yeah. *checks out COMPLETELY* Ew ew ew ew ew! Not just squicky but panic-inspiring, curl up on the floor in a fetal position squicky! No thanks. Even promises of massive amounts of h/c wouldn't be enough for me to willingly jump into that particular batch of fics! Ew ew ew! Notmythingnotmything. You KNOW it's bad when there mere concept of the challenge squicks you! LMAO!!!

Anyway, thought I'd share the amusement and ickiness. And, hey, if anyone likes that kind of thing I'm sure there's more than enough to go around. Enjoy! :-)

Though their current STD challenge is making me want to pick up my 'Obi-Wan gets an STD fic'. It's something like a page long, if that. Poor Obi. *pets*

Holy SHIT!!!! I honestly never thought that there was actually such a thing as Emetophila. That is just about the most freaky thing I've ever read. Sort of makes me wonder what people think about a sneezing fetish however. I'm sure there has to be people out there who think that sneezing is gross.

You know, I REALLY hate that mere thoughts of my phobia make my ACTING OUT my phobia a distinct possibility. I mean, people who are afraid of heights, when they thing about skydiving, aren't magically tossed out of a plane.

As much as I love sneezing (and, ah, by now I suppose it's pretty clear, yeah?) I must admit there are the occasional gross sneezes (though, truthfully, sometimes I'm even in the mood for those). So I can see how people would find it gross in general and be completely squicked as well by the idea. But... yeah... I agree entirely about the freaky. I've been through a lot of lists of crazy fetishes that shock me (I don't remember the name but that one where people love/get off on people with terminal illnesses has GOT to be my ultimate least favorite... apart from maybe murder) and I'd never heard of Emetophilia before. *shudder*

OMG yes. I laughed at your analogy there about the skydiving. The only thing I can think of that's similar is how my ex-boyfriend used to be afraid of getting panic attacks at bad times and how that would sometimes push him into having one. But it's not at all the same.

Well, a couple of those fics (yes, I skimmed the summaries) seemed to be heavily h/c. People helping others through... uh, that. I can see the appeal... it's just the THAT part that sickens me. *dives under covers with pillow over head* I echo your "UGH!" completely.
