*sigh* Good times. I've done a bunch of walks (MS, Diabetes, Cancer) and there's really none as fun as the DC AIDS Walk. Fantastic people, everyone with great attitudes, lots of excitement. I've *so* missed that place. *sigh* I woke up nearly 12 hours ago (after 3.5 hours of sleep) and have been on my feet ALL day (apart from riding the Metro) and I'm exhausted, but very happy. Again, thank you ALL who donated (later today I'll be sending you e-mails); it really makes a huge difference to the clinic and all the people it helps. I had SUCH a fun time.
Oh, and on my drive home 'Philladelphia' (the song) came on the radio. Is that excellent timing or what?!
I'm exhausted and my mind is like BLAAAHHH but I'm not sleepy so I might just go pop in a DVD or something to wind down and rest. I don't know. SO much fun. Great day!!!
I'm still undecided about going to the wrap-up party next Thursday. It costs SO much money for me to get there and I don't eat hamburgers or drink and parking might be a problem, as will getting off work early, so, ehhh, I dunno. We'll see. I met so many nice people it'd be fun to celebrate with them. Especially since I was there for almost all of the day and got to know a lot of them. Ah well. Yeah. I'm undecided.

Date: 2005-10-02 01:35 pm (UTC)That's so great that you did the AIDS walk. I would have sponsored you if I had realized it was coming up so soon. (Bad week, my mind was so not functional). I haven't done a walk like that in a long time. The hospital I used to work for has a cancer walk here but I've been working weekends for so long I always miss it. It is such a great feeling too.

Awww, that's unfortunate. But there are always so many ways to show support and help out- I'm sure you do what you can when you can.
