All About Meeeeee!
Oct. 28th, 2005 02:37 pmThis week's 5 6 questions from
thefridayfive
1. If you had all the money in the world and could choose to own anything, what you would get and why?
The first thing that popped into my head is a library and/or every DVD in the world because I crave new stories. Then I called myself totally shallow and the second thing that popped into my head was a house. I think I've been watching too much of Suzie Orman (sp?) but a house is totally what I'd buy as it's the best investment ever and you can live in it. So, yeah, I'd buy my dream house- a modernized old castle on a large plot of land surrounded by forests. There'd be a studio for me to write in and a dolphin fountain in the entry hall but it would have that old castle feel to it still.
2. If you were to do something that scares you, what would it be?
Go parachuting. It really scares me but I think I'd like it... so long as I was doing it in tandem with someone who knew what he/she was doing. I can think of a LOT of things that scare me more (like bungee jumping or scuba diving but there's NO way I'd ever actually DO those things)
3. What was your first pet?
My parents had a cat and a dog before I was born. And then they took in a mommy cat (who ran away a week after the kittens were born) and kept one of her babies. But when we moved back to the US we only took the two cats with us (the dog apparently used to get colds and that was in a tropical climate. She never would have survived a Vermont winter!). So my first two pets were cats: Puss (female) and Liklik (male). I used to call Liklik my big brother; he was the sweetest cat I have ever met in my life.

4. What's the farthest you've traveled?
That would be the trip mentioned above: Papua New Guinea to Vermont. All the way across the world. I was a baby and don't remember it, though. The longest one I can remember would be one of the cross-country trips (VA to CA and back again) unless VA to Ottawa beats that distance-wise. I'm not good with estimation but it took us longer to drive across the US.
5. If you were a season, which one would you be and why?
Winter! Because it's depressing and cold and bleak and... man, I don't think much of myself today, do I? LOL No, really, I'd be winter. It's romantic and terrible at the same time. It gives you delightful, surprise snow days but also work in shovelling, etc. It can be enjoyed inside or outside. The nights are long and days are sleepy. Yep. I'm definitely winter.
Extra one: If you were a song, which one would you be and why?
I'm going to have to go with Affirmation by Savage Garden yet again because that song expresses so many of my ideas and values.
EDIT: Oohhhh! I just found the best Halloween picture of my mother, Liklik, and me! I'm totally posting that on Monday :-)
