I had a good day. Didn't get much done, but that's all right. It was a nice, quiet day, which is a good change indeed. I did everything major that I wanted to get done this weekend, too.
Donating blood went SO well! I drank a can of iced tea right beforehand and during the donation I had a bottle of orange juice. And the woman monitoring me actually said "Goodness, you're going fast." Whoa! This from someone who usually has to squeeze the little ball constantly to keep the monitor from beeping continually, warning that the flow is too slow! I also warned her about how my veins are deeper than they seem and she actually listened and got the needle in in one try! I also got a "your iron levels are excellent" comment when that was tested. It took me less than 10 minutes to fill the bag. I was shocked and amazed! DEFINITELY the best experience I've had yet giving blood. I'm very excited about that. It wasn't remotely busy (just me and one older gentleman) so there was a nice, relaxed pace- that probably helped. But, still, it was great. Very happy about it.
ROME was... wow. Knew it had to happen but... wow. What a season (series?) finale!
