I'm pumping as hard as I can, Sir
Jan. 12th, 2006 02:32 amI just watched HH episode 'Mutiny'. Had me terrified and on the edge of my seat nearly the whole dang time. Apart from the lovely moment where Horatio is allowed a little sleep (sleeping men are SUCH a weakness of mine) and then the part when he... OH MY GOOD GODS! That part!!!
Yeah. Ohmygod that part.
Think I woke up the whole block with my cry of surprise and delight.
I have no idea how long I have to wait to get the next episode, however. Could be a week or more. *dies with suspense... then rewatches Mutiny about an hour and twenty minutes in...*
THUNK!!!
EDIT: And I just wanted to say that (even though HH3 is my official favorite so far) after every single episode I watch I sit there in awe during the rolling credits and say "best episode yet!". Gods, how I LOVE shows that make me feel like that. These are sooooo going to be my birthday present to myself this year (assuming I have money enough for at least one set). Watching each episode twice just isn't enough for me.
Oh, and BUSH! Squee! *EG* I did have a feeling I was going to like him ;-)

Date: 2006-01-13 12:09 pm (UTC)And... the massive squee part is actually book canon!! :D (I lovelovelove the screencaps for it... SO hot and the expressions on his face are just priceless! lol. I would have paid good money to have been on set when that part was shot - preferably in front of him!)
And YAY!!!!!!!!! for liking Bush!! *g* I am absolutely truly deeply madly obssessively in love with him :) *snuggles PMG* I watched Withnail and I last night because PMG was in it - and it turned out to be such an awesome movie! Have you seen it? It's a MUCH more plot-and-character-driven version of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Withnail and I are just so adorable! *g* "I", especially ;) Not that I'm biased at ALL! Hehe.

Ohh, I haven't seen it yet, but I just added it to my Blockbuster Queue so I'll get to it eventually. I haven't seen Fear & Loathing either, but this looks lovely. Thanks for the rec!

Date: 2006-01-14 03:21 am (UTC)Maybe... maybe it was only two parts... *is hopeful* The tape is at the new house right now... must put it on my list to dig it up and watch it right away! :-)
And he was in Fairy Tale... which I've tried watching 3 times now but keep missing the second hour to. I really must stop missing this man in various roles!

Date: 2006-01-16 02:57 am (UTC)Also, in the books Bush and Hornblower are married. *coughs*
Hornblower thought he saw a twinge of pain cross Bush's expression as the coach lurched on the abominable road.
"Is there anything I can do?" he asked, trying hard to keep the helplessness out of his voice.
"Nothink, thank you, sir," whispered Bush.
"Try and sleep," said Hornblower.
Bush's hand which lay outside the blanket twitched and stirred and moved towards him; he took it and he felt a gentle pressure. For a few brief seconds Bush's hand stroked his feebly, caressing it as though it was a woman's. There was a glimmer of a smile on Bush's drawn face with its closed eyes. Bush's head turned on the pillow, and he lay quite still, while Hornblower sat not saring to move for fear of distrubing him.
. . .
There were two nights when it rained, and they all slept huddled together under the shelter of a blanket stretched between willow trees -- there had been a ridiculous pleasure about waking up to find Bush snoring beside him with a protective arm across him.
. . .
Lieutenant Bush came hastening onto the quarterdeck, and touched his hat to his captain. The stern swarthy face with its incongruous blue eyes broke into a smile just as incongruous. It gave Hornblower a queer twinge, almost of conscience to see the evident pleasure Bush experience at sight of him. It was odd to know that he was admired--it might even be said that he was loved--by this very capable sailor, this splendid disciplinarian and fearless fighter who boasted so many of the good qualities in which Hornblower felt himself to be lacking.

...I'm just sayin'.
