I've just got to say...

Trying to write a Numb3rs fic while watching Santa Clause 2 makes my head hurt.


It's pure coincidence, actually. The plot for this fic hit me earlier today and I just had to come home and write it. And I got Santa Clause 2 on DVD a few days ago from Blockbuster (I know it's late for Christmas, but I've never seen it and wanted to). And I finished watching HH5 again so I decided to watch this. And I completely forgot David Krumholtz is in it, until he appeared during the opening credits, that is.

Ow. Watching him like this while he's supposed to be cute math geek makes me all confused. LMAO!

Just wanted to say that I am so looking forward to your Numb3rs fic. I want to eventually write one, but I can't come up with nearly enough plot yet.

I came up the the full plot today during work (I had bits floating around in my head ever since you mentioned it onlist)... and ironed it out while driving home and eating dinner. Then I spent an hour or two doing research to make sure I had the math and calculations correct.

But now I'm just fighting the urge to dress Charlie up as an elf. *resists harder*

I hope the fic turns out well! I'm glad you're looking forward to it. I'm finding the dialogue to be soooo easy. I'm channeling the characters well. So I really hope those of you reading it will feel that it's true to the show :-)

When I was younger one of my favorite movies was Quiz Show. A couple weeks ago they had Rob Morrow on some talk so and when they introduced him they listed that as one of his credits even though he was promoting Numbers. I have never really watched they show and so whenever I think of it the curly haired guy comes to mind so I was really happy to find out that Rob Morrow plays the other brother on the show. Maybe if I had paid more attention to it I would have noticed earlier. I had such a crush on him in that movie. Of course at that time I also had a crush on Fred Savage and Jeff Goldblum for some reason.

I should really watch that show. I was labeling some tapes the other day and found where I had taped the pilot however many months ago. I should probably start there. Are each of the episodes individual cases or do they carry on from one episode to another?

I've loved Rob since Northern Exposure. Even if I weren't a math fangirl, I'd have watched Numb3rs just for him. Cuz he's just too adorable for words. I haven't ever seen Quiz Show but I've been wanting to for years. I totally hear you though on the crush thing.

David and Rob are wonderful on the show together. They really play off each other well as brothers. Teasing and not always happy with each other... but they always care about each other and love each other. It's hard for me to remember they're not actually brothers sometimes, they do such a good job!

The first episode is a great one to start with. Really sets up the characters and style of the show. And who doesn't love sprinkler demonstrations? LOL But each episode is another case (which is possibly why I love the show so much). You can honestly start watching on any episode.
All you need to know is that Charlie's a math geek, teaches at uni (CalTech, I believe), has a thing for an ex-doctoral student, and owns a house. Don's a damn good FBI agent who always seems to need his brother's help on cases, imagine that. It's all pretty self-explanitory, including the secondary characters like their father and Larry (I've adored Peter since I was a kid and saw Ghostbusters II, so that's another reason I couldn't miss the show) and fellow FBI agents.
Seriously, though, feel free to jump in any time (like this Friday night at 10). It's one of the easiest shows I've ever seen to do that with, and that's from someone who detests coming in on the middle of a series!
