SW fic & Yum

I just posted a very short Star Wars ficlet that just popped out. I'm working on another short one in my head, but it will take some time before I actually have time to work on any of my fics. Sadly, real life calls too loudly.

I'm baking Lemon Squares *G* YUM! *sigh* I have fond memories of lemon squares. My first ones (I think I must have eaten at least 10) was at one of the MANY potluck adoption agency parties where the parents mill around and talk about paperwork and how much they want a kid, and their kids find a happy corner and read a book. At any rate, I couldn't think of anything I liked better than the lemon squares and actually took a few home in a napkin as I recall. At any rate, I've always had a fondness for them. Mine (the box recipie kind) looks dreadful, but they smell good *G* That's what's important, right? :-)

I'm off to sleep at my club advisor's house tonight. Yayness :-) Gotta go pack.. and get dressed... and all. Boyfriend just bought a cell phone. UG. Thanks for telling me! LOL Considering I've been pouring over stats and plans and range maps and all sorts of bloody choices for the last week. He just goes out and buys one and calls me with it. LOL Silly boy.

Oh, he didn't buy it for me, he bought it for himself and then was like "OH, you've been thinking about getting one?" *hits head on wall hard* I've been going through hell trying to figure the whole thing out, looking at different ones, etc. I HATE cell phones and I absolutely refuse to carry one with me everywhere. And I will NEVER be using one in public, that's for sure, unless someone's trying to rape me or something.In which case, I can call 911 without a plan anyway. LOL I hate cell phones. I really do. And boyfriend is expecting me to be all happy about his. It's freaking TINY as hell... I hate tiny phones. It doesn't feel like you're speaking into them... and everyone can see your mouth when you talk and UG. I hate 'em. I'll stop rambling now.

Point is, I don't like 'em and he's expecting me to be happy about his after I spend a week trying to figure out how to buy one myself without dying and he doesn't even notice. Gah!

New SW ficlet

Oh, Tarotgal, that ficlet is just about the cutest thing I've ever read!

I'm a HUGE fan of placing people like Jedi, elves, etc. in situations like important council meetings and such where it would be supremely embarassing to succomb to a sneezing fit, so the tickles build and build and the eventual release is utterly delicious! This story is the perfect example.

I must say, I also loved the way Qui-Gon made Obi's allergy into a teaching situation, and that all Obi had to do to get help is to ask for it. Stubborn and independent Padawans rarely like to admit they need help, but I loved how you made Obi helpless to do otherwise. I melted when he announced his impending sneezes through the build-up...you hit one of my fetish fic pleasure spots right there. Simply delicious!

My hubbie Loves Lemon bars *grin*. I personally think that they are alright- but prefer homemade chocolate chip cookies.

So... are you adopted *I am curious because of the memory that you related* ? I am but I was adopted when I was like 3wks old so, I don't have any memories of another family or not having a family.

Anyways... I liked your SW story... I'm not really into SW *as tied in with fetish* but I really did think that it was really cute. The student/master thing was really, really sweet. *grin, grin*

Actually, my sister's adopted from India. We got her when she was 2 and I was 9 so I have many memories of the process which took two and a half years from start to finish and then another year and a half until she was actually a naturalized citizen *sigh* SLOW government :-) Anyway- YAY! Go you! :-) I'm glad you were young though- it must be hard to live with memories of another life... or at least, I'd imagine so. My sister doesn't remember anything either.

As for the story- awww! Thanks for reading it, even if SW sneezefic isn't your thing- that in itself is a huge compliment... or maybe you were just desperate for something boring to read? LOL :-) Glad you liked it anyway :-) Merci!!!
