Puppy Drabble for Tina
Dec. 11th, 2006 09:14 pmI took a break from holiday giftfics for a few minutes to write this tonight for Tina, who I think could use this. Nothing heavy, and I don't know if you're in the mood for sick pups considering everything, which is why it's short and written like this. But I hope it makes you smile. *hugs*
Title: Puppy Snuggling Drabble for Tina
Author: tarotgal
Fandom: Harry Potter
Rating: PG, because it’s just snuggling
Pairing: Remus/Sirius, duh, didn’t you read the title?
Spoilers: Do you know who the puppies are? If not, don’t read
Disclaimer: Not my puppies, and please don’t sue me for making them snuggle
Summary: Uh… they’re puppies. And they snuggle. It’s a drabble; if I say more, there won’t be any reason to read it.
Notes: For

Utterly chilled, Remus felt the shivers through every part of his body. His teeth chattering and limbs trembling, Remus was glad when he finally made it across the bedroom and climbed under the practically never-ending mound of covers. He sought out the warm body in the great big bed, scooting until he hit it in the center.
“Iiiiieeeee!” The body jumped, but Remus hugged and kept on hugging until the man settled down. “Remus, your feet are like ice!”
“Blame the founders, Padfoot,” Remus replied, his teeth still chattering. “They set this school up in an old castle and didn’t think about carpets.”
“Uh-uh,” Sirius shook his head. “I blame you. Where are your socks?”
Remus clung to Sirius’ side, concentrating on the warmth slowly creeping up on him. His teeth were quiet and his body calm. “They’re on your feet, you berk. Remember?”
“Oh yeah.” Sirius pawed at his nose and then slid both his arms around Remus.
“Still a little sniffly?”
“Uh-huh,” Sirius nodded. “But nothing I can’t handle. Snff! Snff! My cold’s nearly gone.”
“That’s good to hear. Because I’m exhausted. Taking care of you isn’t exactly a walk in the park, Love.”
“Since when have you liked walking in the park?” Sirius laughed. And Remus cringed at the small jab about his allergies.
Then Sirius hugged him closer. So close that Remus could feel Sirius’ heart beating. So close that Remus could feel warm breaths against his cheek. So close that he couldn’t figure out where he stopped and Sirius began. So close that he couldn’t remember which one of them was supposed to be the patient and which was the caregiver.
Remus tugged Sirius’ shirt collar down a little in order to kiss the nape of Sirius’ neck. His feet rubbed against Sirius’, which were covered in three pairs of thick socks. Sirius snuggled him… sniffled… and snuggled. “But it’s worth it,” Remus whispered, closing his eyes.
