tarotgalWe had our first snowfall of the year today! Just an inch or two, but now we've got freezing rain. So maaaaaaaaaybe I won't have work tomorrow. We'll see. Mom & Dad went to visit my sister at college and passed about 25 accidents on the way there and back. I'm glad they made it there and back safely.
Let's see... what's up with me... I'm still WAY behind on e-mail and replying to LJ comments. OMG I'm so sorry people *hugs* Bad, bad TG.
Wednesday I had a whole day of Adobe Photoshop classes. That was very cool. Three separate workshops on the university campus. I learned A LOT. Freakin awesome that I actually get *paid* to spend the day at class.
I'm doing a good job so far of meeting my goal of finishing one book a week. I'm SUCH a slow reader, but I really need to read more. Goodness knows I have too many books for my bookcases. LOL
I just finished up my AnySoldier care package tonight. About $35 worth of goodies from DVDs to books to candy to toothbrushes to pillowcases to games. Makes me feel good. I hope it's enjoyed by the brave sailors over in Iraq I'm sending it to.
We did another blood curve for our cat with Diabetes on Sat. My hands are covered in cuts but we got the lowest readings yet for him, which rocks muchly. So I' glad we did the tests.
Writing: In the last few days I've worked on all three of my remaining giftfics. I'm getting there, I promise!
However, I started an Ace story that I need to work on a little because I want to present it at my monthly writer's group (which I had to skip this month because of another kitty cat blood curve night). The story sucks because there's no plot, so I'll probably end up tossing it out instead of doing anything with it. But I don't want it to be long, just 1000 words or so, so it shouldn't take too long to finish it up.
And then I accidentally claimed two bunnies for a challenge on a Sirius/Remus list. I claimed one and then offered to switch because someone wanted the one I claimed, but the challenger thought I was just requesting two... whoops. So now I have to write two. But they're short. I finished one today and have a bit of an idea for the other. I'm having a bit of trouble with it, oddly, but I'm sure I'll be able to finish it before Valentine's Day. THANK YOU to those of you who agreed to help me out betaing!!!!!!!!
I've finished three stories for the SF challenge so far. I'd love to write more, but only after I finish giftfics.
Today I came up with some amazingly nummy scenes I REALLY want to write for the Jamie novel I started during NaNoWriMo. I want to at least get a few of them out of my head before I lose inspiration completely.
