Ack! Help!

Not serious help... but I'd love to get opinions (thank you in advance).

I've been wanting to order a Hufflepuff patch for my scarf (and now that I have two, I can do so without fear- now I can be ultra fandomy one moment and switch off and be more 'professional' the next).

Alivan's just came out with NEW house patches. And I'm REALLY indecisive. I mean REALLY. So I'd love to hear fb on what you'd think would look best.

And the Ravenclaw and Slytherin new patches look the best, IMHO.

Okay, so which do you like better? The thing is, the scarf is yellow and black. And the new patch, though beautiful, has a lot more brown in it than black. So the old one might go better with the scarf. Or I could do new Huff patch on one end and new Hogwarts patch on the other. Mixing old and new might look strange, given the colors and the way the badger looks. Or I could let the colors stand for themselves and just put the new Hogwarts patch on the scarf. Or just the new one. Or I could buy one of each and then put then see what looks best. Gah! Do you see why I'm indecisive?

It says gold, but they lie. It's actually a nice medium-to-pale yellow. I'd center a patch so that it was half in the black and half in the yellow at the end of the scarf.

Well I like the first patch (the old one) the best but then to really make a decision I'd need to see the scarf!

(I sympathise with the indecisiveness btw, it can be incredibly annoying!)

I think the old patch's badger looks kind of timid, but is sooooo cute.

The scarf is from the same place. I should have posted it originally. But I didn't, because I'm stupid and headache is making me ramble without thinking.

Hmm, having seen the scarf I think the second newer patch would actually look quite nice on it. Especially if it was sewn on against the black.

...You may need to wait till more decisive flist members come along, I'm not being much help, am I?

I like them all, but I'd vote for the old Hufflepuff patch. I do like the Hogwarts one though. The kids went roller skating last week and I noticed one of the girl's had a Hogwarts patch on her jeans pocket. I may get one for my daughter. She has the "I solemnly swear..." shirt and a SPEW sweatshirt.

I'd have to agree, I think the old one would look better with the black. The stripes of the scarf are more old-style than new anyway. Plus, the badger is sooo cute!

My second choice would be the Hogwarts patch. That's the kind of patch (though not the same design) that came with the Gryffindor scarf I have, and I kind of like having the whole school represented.

I understand the indecisive too, and I'd almost tell you to get one of each and see what you like best. The other one would look nice on a jacket or a bag, a hat, or many other places. Heck, you could even turn it into a fridge magnet or hang it on your walls. Sorry, I know I'm not helping narrow the options now. *G*

One more vote for the old Hufflepuff patch. Not only does it have the "old school" vibe, I like the representation of the badger. More detail there, whereas with the new patch, the badger isn't really (to my mind) recognizable as a *badger*. And, yeah, the old silver works better (again, for me) than the new light brown, with or without the scarf.
