So sad that Roy Scheider passed away :-(
And I'm freaked out and worried about Richard Zednik. Zed's a former Capital (um, twice) and that skate to the throat tonight looked absolutely awful. Last I heard, a few minutes ago, he's out of surgery and resting comfortably- thank goodness- but still worried about the guy. He was having a great season, too. Seems like whenever he gets going, he gets injured, but this one looked absolutely terrifying. SO glad he's made it off the ice so quickly, but poor Zed!
On a slightly happier note, I went to another Harry Potter meetup today. We discussed Chamber of Secrets (I reread it this week to refresh my memory) and veered off to other books & movies a lot, too. Only a few people showed, but it was still a LOT of fun to talk about Harry Potter with other Harry Potter fans in real life. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE Meetup.com?

Date: 2008-02-12 01:55 am (UTC)And yes, I didn't see this, but that would have been freaky...I've never heard of that happening before o_0. Of course, I tend to get a bit freaked out whenever something major happens on the ice after what happened to Jiri a few years back.
But they're expecting Zed to return to playing eventually, he can return to normal activity in 6-8 weeks. And he should be out of the ICU tomorrow.
