I now own my very own cunning hat! Just like the hero of Canton's!
Came in an awesome box with stamps on it, hay inside, and a note from Jayne's mother *G* One of the coolest things I've ever purchased, hands down.
I was having a miserable day today up until I found and opened the package an hour ago. Yesterday I took J to his first professional hockey game. We had a good time, though he's a little exhausting. Anyway, he asked if I was free Friday and- after deciding it sounded too stupid to say my plan was to sit at home and participate in a Highlander maxigathering- I said I was free. So now I'm going to Maryland with him tomorrow and his friend's birthday celebration. And I'm kinda regretting it. I've been so busy I'm desperate for a few moments of peace and relaxation and I'm SO fucking exhausted. I nodded off in front of the computer at work at least 5 times today. Plus I've had a headache (from lack of sleep) for the past two days. And, guh, I wish I'd said I was busy.
But this will be a good test. I'm kinda on the fence with the guy. He's EXTREMELY sweet and my type... but there are a TON of incompatable aspects... like the fact that he dances. And is very social (and I'd prefer to spend a Friday at home watching tv after a long-ass week). And he cares a lot about his apperance (spray-on-tanning?!). ANd he's beyond neat- he has, like, no posessions in his apartment. And he... how should I say this... randomly bursts out with games like "Okay, I'll say a topic and three 'con' positions, then you counter with three 'pro' positions!" Um. Either he tries too hard or he's kooky. And I usually like kooky... goodness knows I'm not perfect either! But... he might be a little much for me. So even if I'm miserable, I'll learn something by the end of the night. Maybe it'll be fun. Maybe it won't. Who knows?
And now I'll be sure to get through it fine, with such a cunning hat on my side *G* Assuming I can stay awake through it. Gods I'm SO sleepy...
