tarotgalHad a good day today thus far. Hoping to finish up a fic bit tonight *crosses fingers* which would make it even better. But...
1. Got my new VISA card in the mail today! Whoohoo! Now I have to start changing all my accounts.
2. I went to my local comic book store during lunchtime to get the new Serenity comic that came out today. I walked up and down once to make sure there wasn't anything else I was forgetting, then I went to the counter to check out and there was one of my bosses! He said "Ohh so you've discovered my secret comic book store weakness!" heehee Geeks unite! Tis funny. I go practically every Wednesday during lunch and haven't seen him there before. He seemed to not want to share what he was buying (looked like role playing cards) so we probably won't be making trips there together, but tis very nice nonetheless to geek out a little in public :-)
3. Found out that Diana Gabaldon is writing a graphic novel... about Jamie! SQUEE! The sketches don't look half bad. And I'm thrilled to see some new young Highland Jamie action! http://www.cco.caltech.edu/~gatti/gabaldon/gabaldon.html
4. Playoff hockey! My boys don't have their first game until Friday, but I LOVE playoff hockey. Games going until there's a winner, players killing themselves to score or stop pucks, beards, intensity, the best of the best nonstop. Tons of games on tonight. I can't stand watching Cindy and poor Ottawa's lost a lot of players, so I don't want to watch the Pens win. But I'm looking forward to watching the Sharks vs. the Flames tonight. MAN I love western teams! Probably since y'all have such amazing players and I never get to see ya (I'm sick to DEATH of seeing the Caps play the same teams over and over again) but I have an impossible time rooting for anyone in the west 'cause I love nearly every team (except the Stars... I hate the Stars). So I can't wait for the game tonight at 10. Should give me enough time to watch a movie before the game. Yay playoff hockey!!
5. Um... oh! Finished a book on tape today in the car. It was Cat's Eye by Margaret Atwood and I didn't love it. It was weird but okay. Still, yay, accomplishment! And the two vegetable dumplings I left in the fridge yesterday were still there tonight, as was all the vegetable fried rice, so I got to eat Chinese take away tonight and not pay for dinner again. Yay for free food!
Anyway, I thought I'd share my happy. Going to go watch Martian Child, try to finish up a fic chapter, and I hope to finally post the last of my challenge feedback & replies tonight. THANK YOU to all of you who have left me feedback thus far! *HUGS* I hang on every word. You rock!
