So I got a new computer and finally had the time to unpack it yesterday! Ran into problems (took me 3 hours to figure out HOW to import mail to Outlook from Outlook Express dbx's from a storage device, and last night it wouldn't play any disc I put into it- was on tech support chat for an hour and got it straightened out, though the guy had to play about in the registry). Monday I'm going to order Adobe Web Design Suite CS3 (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Flash, Acrobat Professional) which will be great and useful, albeit expense; that's going to cost me $300 but, luckily, if you buy it on Amazon.com or somewhere else it goes for about $1,600 so that's still a HUGE savings for me. I'm not quite used to the keyboard yet, and the monitor's nice but will take some getting used to. I use 3 monitors at work- a 17inch flat, a 23inch flat, and a 30inch flat. This one's a 24inch flat- a step up from the 15inch huge honking tube monitor I've been using for the last 6 years which was practically dead. And movies? Lord, movies look GORGEOUS. Plus, Blue Ray. Yay *G* Tons of memory, tons of processing speed, Vista (which will take some getting used to), but in all I think I'll be VERY happy with this thing. Anyway, I'm posting this because I'm testing out the LJ client I downloaded.

I still intend to post my thoughts on the LotR production. And general thoughts about Indy. But my head's killing me and the AHL (hockey) Calder Cup game 2 is on and keeps stealing my attention. Go WOLVES!!!!!!!! Kill those Penguins! Just like the Wings. Good Wings. Nice Wings. Wish you'd stop torturing Octopod, but, still, I'm very happy you're doing so well. I want to see you win at home next game!

But the good news? Once again I managed to do LMOM over at pervy_werewolf! Squee! Wasn't sure I was going to make it- a few times I posted after 11pm (deadline each day is midnight) but I managed to get it done and, though there are a few things I'd change and a few fandoms I wish I'd been able to do (my original list included Blood Ties, Forever Knight, Fantastic Four, NCIS, Farscape, among others) I'm still fairly happy with the result. Smut, angst, plot, and more. Oh, and I played in fandoms I've never written in before (Doctor Who, Arthurian Legends, Eureka, Star Trek DS9, Heroes, CON: Silver Chair) and a TON I've only barely played in (Velvet Goldmine, Queer as Folk UK, Dinotopia, 10th Kingdom, Indiana Jones, Charmed, LOST, Firelfy, Torchwood). I'm already looking forward to next year!
